Spring Farm Campsite | Shipdham | Norfolk Simple camping in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. Tents, trailer-tents, motorhomes and caravans welcome. Adult only. No dogs. Spring Farm Campsite is a small site in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, perfect for campers wanting a friendly, simple camping experience. Nature lovers will enjoy spotting the local wildlife, falling asleep to the hooting of owls and waking to birdsong. If you enjoy a spot of fishing, bring your rod as we have a small pond freshly stocked with coarse fish. Common sights around the campsite include a moorhen family, Muntjac deer, Barn owls and an array of other bird life. A local pub, convenience store and cafe are all a short walk or drive away in the village of Shipdham. Located about 5 miles south of Dereham, we are perfectly situated for those wanting to use us as a base for day trips to the North Norfolk coast, Thetford Forest, The Broads, the fine city of Norwich, numerous attractive market towns, National Trust sites, RSPB reserves and other wildlife attractions. Alternatively, walkers and cyclists can explore the beautiful Norfolk countryside using the miles of country lanes and bridleways, which are on the doorstep of Spring Farm Campsite. Open from the 15th March to 10th October.
Accommodation types
- Hardstanding Touring Pitch with Optional Electric Hook-Up — - One Touring caravan or Motorhome or Campervan allowed per pitch - We have a large shower room with a single electric shower and generous changing area. Please note the electric shower takes a 50 pence piece that will last approximately 10 minutes. - A sheltered area houses two handbasins and two washing up sinks (with hot water, -lighting and mirrors). - We have three eco-friendly composting toilets (one for men and two for women) plus a separate urinal. - Free charging for phones, tablets etc and a socket for hairdryers / air bed pumps etc. - We have six electrical hook up points. - A chemical toilet waste disposal point is provided. - We have a small spring fed fish pond which is freshly stocked with carp, tench and rudd. Campers may fish for free but must use a landing net and barbless hooks and must put back what they catch. - We provide bins for recyclable waste and encourage campers to recycle as much of their rubbish as possible. - The water in the washing area is safe to drink. We also have a dedicated drinking water tap suitable for filling large containers. - We no longer accept dogs on site. - Fires / BBQs are permitted, so long as they are raised off the grass.
