Here is a description about the site and local activities. Indoor, Outdoor, Secure caravan storage available. Seasonal pitches available. We are situated 12 miles south west of Shrewsbury. We are an Adult Only site, no shower or toilet facilities are available. All our pitches are within 50m of the fishing pool(some a lot closer). A very relaxing place to sit whether fishing or enjoying the peace and quiet. All the pitches are spacious, accommodating van, vehicle & awning. Pitch fees are £20 for H.S super pitches. An extra £1 is charged for a full awning. The pool is for leisure fishing and is stocked with carp, perch and roach. It is for the exclusive use of visiting vans & family friends. Currently £5 per day (but add up the hours, as we appreciate you may have a full day out and just fish for an hour or two in the evening) 8hours = £5. The site is surrounded by farmland and the views include Eastridge woods, Stiperstones, Callow & Long Mountain. Dogs are welcome on the site, but we do ask that they are kept under control and not allowed to roam. We have a dog walk with no stiles, but obviously you do not need to have a dog to enjoy this walk! Nearby Attractions Shrewsbury is our nearest town, home of the famous annual flower show. Being surrounded on three sides by the River Severn, it gives excellent opportunities to enjoy a river trip or walks along the banks. There are many old buildings, including The Castle, museums and of course a variety of shops and restaurants. Ludlow and Church Stretton to the south provide excellent places to visit, whether for fine food or walking. The hills around Church Stretton are known as 'Little Switzerland'. Welshpool and Montgomery are just over the border into Wales and along with Shropshire have many National Trust properties that are well worth a visit. Ironbridge is about 20 miles from us and worth visiting any time of the year. (Telford town centre has many shops and cafes undercover if the weather is inclement). Directions From A5 Shrewsbury by-pass turn L onto B4386 (to Montgomery) Travel through Westbury and turn Left after 1.25 miles into road sign-posted Minsterley (sharp turn by cottages). In 1 mile turn right into Hem Lane. Enter drive on right in 200yds. Follow the track to the left of the house, where you will find the site on the right. (The final mile of the route is narrow in places)
