Wild Wool Barn Campsite

Welcome to the Wild Wool Barn, in the isolated valley of Ennerdale. We moved to the Lake District 20 years ago to pursue our passion for mountaineering and crafts. We have converted the rustic Lakeland barn to comfortable but simple accommodation so we can share this exclusive of corner of undiscovered Lake District with like-minded people. The barn provides luxury bunkhouse accommodation for families and groups of 6+ for exclusive use, and a micro-campsite offers a rare opportunity to camp overlooking the stunning views of Ennerdale Water and Crag Fell. Attached to the Wild Wool Barn is the Wild Wool Workshop where I create bespoke products from the local Herdwick wool from the oldest flocks in the country, and teach spinning and weaving using traditional Spinning and Weaving equipment, You can visit the studio most afternoons and see me working in workshop where you will also find an exhibition of wool processing and hand-spun creations.
