We are located in a quiet, peaceful rural setting on the edge of the Lake District with fantastic views of Blencathra and the Northern Fells. With Keswick, Ullswater, Penrith, The Eden Valley and Carlisle just short drives away there’s plenty to see and do. Superb access to the Northern Fells with walks to suit all abilities whether you fancy a short gentle stroll or a full day of hiking there will be a path close by for you. There are plenty of cycle routes to choose from in the area including the Coast to Coast route. You’ll be spoilt for choice for cosy local pubs which are short car trips away from the site in all directions. These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example. 5 acres, part slope.
