Wayfarers Caravan Park in South Cornwall is a 4-star graded park set in a quiet village, just five minutes from the stunning beaches and ancient market town of Marazion and in a wonderful location for exploring some of Cornwall’s most fantastic towns, beaches and landmarks.

Exclusively for adults and dog free, Wayfarers is a wonderfully tranquil place, offering breathtaking views across Cornish farmland. Whether you are looking for a quick overnight stop or a longer break there is no doubt this site ticks all the boxes. It is also possible to book a seasonal pitch for your caravan and make it a bit more permanent; Wayfarers would take some serious beating for a regular holiday destination. Touring vehicles and tents all have access to electric hook-ups if you wish and there is a choice of hardstanding or grass pitches.

This family run site really is beautifully landscaped and very well maintained, with neat grass, trimmed Cornish hedging, lush shrubs and mature trees, all spread out over five acres. It attracts many rare birds, so if you fancy a bit of beginners twitching, bring your bird book. The swaying palm trees give the whole place a distinctly Mediterranean feel. The pitches are well-sized and there is plenty of space between them all, giving a good amount of privacy should you want it. The excellent facilities include showers, toilets, communal BBQ areas and an onsite shop selling local produce including their own organic veg. This place is good for you inside and out. The thoughtful owners have recently opened The Flying Duck, their onsite bistro (with a bar, hurrah!) selling hearty breakfasts and delicious evening meals.

So, what is there to explore in the area? Well, quite a bit. If you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday, head down to one of the lovely nearby beaches; Marazion, Sennen Beach, Praa Sands and Porthcurno are all magnificent sandy stretches and perfect for spending the day lolling by the shores or swimming in the clear waters. Wayfarers is within two miles of Mounts Bay and its ancient island castle on St Michael’s Mount, which rises from the waters off the shores of Marazion and is well worth a visit. You can cross on foot at low tide to explore, or if it is high tide take the ferry. For a relaxed walk, meander down the coastal path to historic Penzance and wander around the busy harbour and narrow streets, or head to the nearby town of Newlyn to see the fishing boats come in and sample some delicious local seafood. Drivable day trips include The Eden Project, St Ives and Lands End and if you are interested in archaeology, there are a huge number of Neolithic monuments in South Cornwall, such as Men-an-Toll and the Merry Maidens of Boleigh.
