We are a rural campsite set within the 520 square miles of the Brecon Beacons National Park - Wales’ first European Geopark. The Brecon Beacons National Park has been designated an International Dark Sky Reserve - the first place in Wales to achieve this award and only the fifth in the world. Newcourt Farm Campsite offers the ideal base to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty, to embrace and enjoy the true taste of Wales. Truly the ‘Land of Plenty' and inspiration of poetry and song. Newcourt Farm Campsite is idyllic for the holidaymaker wishing to get away from it all, enabling you the chance to unwind and relax. Sit back and take in the stunning panoramic views across the Wye Valley, listen to the buzzards calling overhead and enjoy beautiful sunsets. On a clear night above the Brecon Beacons, stargazers are able to see the Milky Way, as well as numerous major constellations, bright nebulas and even meteor showers, making us the perfect destination to visit to get a better view of the night sky. "Perfect location to ponder our place in the universe." Don't forget to bring binoculars or a telescope. Dog Walking - there is plenty of space within and around the campsite for dog walking. If we are not too busy, we have areas you can let your dog have a run off the lead. For those looking for a more active holiday, the site is ideally suited for keen hill walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers. There are activity centres nearby for adventurous types wishing to take part in outdoor pursuits. We are able to accommodate supervised groups and schools, particularly those taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. The Black Mountains and miles of the open countryside are easily accessible. Pen y Fan and Waterfall Country are within easy driving distance. There are many public footpaths to follow throughout the area. Horse riding, swimming, fishing, golf and gliding are all available close by. Newcourt Farm Campsite offers clean and well-maintained toilets and 50p coin-metered showers. There is also an undercover wash-up area for pots and pan cleaning. A chemical waste disposal point is behind the shower block and there are several drinking water points on site. Newcourt is a quiet family campsite. Noise, music and drinking are not permitted after 10 pm. Anti-social behaviour will NOT be tolerated. Wood burning fires are NOT allowed Charcoal BBQ's are allowed. Raised so as not to burn the grass. Newcourt has an zero waste policy. All rubbish must be taken away by visitors. The Proprietors reserve the right to refuse admission and to remove people from the site at their discretion if site rules are not complied with. All anti-social behaviour is reported immediately to Dyfed-Powys Police along with full campsite registration details.
