Star Field Glamping and Camping at Charity Farm

Hello and welcome to Star Field Glamping and Camping at Charity Farm, a family run glamping and campsite based on a working farm in Cranbrook, Kent. If you're looking for a simple off-grid country retreat to enjoy a well-earned break with a clear view of the night sky, then we've got a pitch for you. If you fancy something a little more glamorous, we've got you covered as well. Please note that there is a compulsory fee of £12 for the Greener Camping Club which has to be added to every booking.
Accommodation types
- Dandelion Naked Bell Tent — Dandelion Bell Tent sleeps up to 4 people and is perfect for those wanting to get away but don't want the hassle of putting up a tent! We have added a double bed and 2 single futon beds (you will need to provide your own bedding). Dandelion is on the right of our field between Nettle and Willow . A fire ring and picnic bench are provided and you can buy a fire kit or just some logs from the country store on site. As well as your own composting loo you have use of the communal hot showers and washing up station. Greener Camping Club membership required. Please add it on extra products if you're not a member. - Wren Safari Tent — Wren sits in a truly beautiful setting, next to the SSSI woodland. The tent is fully furnished with two bedrooms, one has a double bed and another has a double bed with a bunk bed over. There is a kitchen area with everything you need for a group of five, and somewhere to sit and relax. You will have your own loo and shower too. Outside there is a deck where you can sit and enjoy a leisurely breakfast or lunch whilst listening to the wildlife. There is a fire pit and camp chairs for toasting marshmallows or cooking up a feast. Greener Camping Club membership required. Please add it on extra products if you're not a member.
- Thistle Naked Bell Tent — Thistle Bell Tent sleeps up to 4 people and is perfect for those wanting to get away but don't want the hassle of putting up a tent! We have added a double bed and 2 single futon beds. (you will need to provide your own bedding). Thistle gets the best of the morning and evening sun which you can enjoy from the picnic bench provided. A fire ring is provided and you can buy a fire starter kit or just some logs from the country store on site. As well as your own composting loo you have use of the communal hot showers and washing up station. Thistle is near the bottom of our site and the walk to the top is on an incline, nothing major but worth mentioning. Greener Camping Club membership required. - Grass Pitch — Our camping field is kept natural with long grass in between pitches with plenty of space for kids young and old to run about and play. Each pitch comes with its own fire ring, fire starting kits, logs and camping fuel are all available to buy from the country store on site. There are hot showers and composting loos as well as a hot water washing up station available. Drinking water is available at the washing up station as well as at various areas around the site. Please note our camping field is on a slope, it is not extreme but it is worth mentioning. Greener Camping Club membership required. - Dressed Bell Tent (Bramble) — Bramble is a 5 metre cotton canvas bell tent. It's furnished with a comfortable double bed to ensure a restful sleep and two single futon beds. Side tables, a dressing table, and two directors chairs are also included in our cosy retreat. You will have a private compost loo, hot shower (please bring your own towels), fire bowl with cooking and bbq attachments as well as a kitchen area with a camping stove. All the equipment you need for cooking, eating and drinking is included to shorten your packing list. We also have a picnic table available for your enjoyment. All of this is in a secluded area of our 6 acre campsite. There is a farm shop on site selling local produce, take away snacks, hot drinks and alcohol so you will be well catered for. If you don't fancy cooking then Cranbrook's pubs, restaurants and cafes are a 20 minute walk away along a footpath. Bramble is tucked away at the bottom of our site just beyond the camping field fortified by surrounding trees. There is a slope up to the entrance. No smoking inside. No dogs allowed. - Robin Safari Tent — Robin sits in a truly beautiful setting, next to the SSSI woodland.
