Here at Wild Wellingtons we provide outdoor adventures for adults and children so that all ages have time for themselves, a sense of space and fun and the chance to discover our amazing Welsh environment. This is a holiday where everyone counts. We have unique accommodation and great facilities with luxurious touches, beautiful views, lots of land, various quiet nooks and play areas and opportunities to relax, laugh, let loose and reconnect with friends, loved ones and family. Most importantly, the vast and beautiful West Wales coast, including a dozen beaches, is on our doorstep. Our site is big enough to find privacy and seclusion and for everyone to run free but small enough to make friends, feel safe and not lose each other! Our off grid accommodation, which is furnished to a high standard, consists of 2 spacious geo-domes, Cromen Glan Môr (Seaside Dome) which sleeps 4-5, Cromen Ddôl (Meadow Dome) which sleeps 4-6 and our new Cwt ar y Bryn (Hut on the Hill), shepherds hut style accommodation which has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4-5. All of our accommodation has a king-size bed and 2 singles. We can provide extra fold up beds and squeeze in an extra baby here and there! Our site is perfect for 3 families to book together - you would have the whole site and all the facilities to yourselves to do things your very own way. Children play together all day long (just like we could when we were kids and met all our friends outside to run wild) in the meadow and play areas (safely watched from the camp kitchen veranda or domes nearby). Mums and dads get the chance to have their own get together and time to relax - fun all around so all ages get their perfect holiday!
Accommodation types
- Cwt ar y Bryn (Hut on the Hill) — Cwt ar y Bryn is our 2 bedroom cwt (hut) with a king size bed, 2 singles and a travel cot if required (subject to availability). Four guests are the perfect amount, though we can accommodate one more on a fold up bed in the living room (surcharges apply). The king size bed takes pride of place in the centre of the main bedroom and sits opposite the window to make the most of the panoramic views from its place on the hill. There are 2 comfy sofas and a small dining table with 4 chairs. Cwt ar y Bryn is situated at the top of our land, facing south. The showers and toilet are less than a minute away and the kitchen cabin about a minute. Y Cwt has its own Tŷ Bach (‘small house’ which means toilet in Welsh!) next door: a pretty, hand built, eco-friendly tree bog, though we do have a flushing loo in one of the wet rooms if you prefer. The showers, toilet & kitchen cabin are just under a minute away. Y Cwt is modern, bright and spacious with high ceilings and floor to ceiling murals in the living room and main bedroom that give it the wow-factor when you walk in. We've coined the phrase "Welsh-Scandi" for Y Cwt as minimalist decor, wooden floors, a bespoke woodburner, blonde-wood walls and a feeling of peace give it this kind of feel.
- Cromen Ddôl (Meadow Dome) — Cromen Ddôl (Meadow Dome) is our largest, most spacious, high-ceilinged dome, with 1 king size, four poster bed & 2 singles. We can also fit in 2 fold up beds or a travel cot if required (subject to availability/surcharges apply for fold up beds). This dome is situated in a quieter area of our meadow & takes in the big, southerly views of our beautiful Welsh countryside. The four poster bed, which takes pride of place in the centre of the room, & sits opposite the window, was made from Welsh Ash grown less than an hour from our door & made by an amazing local carpenter Paul. Cromen Ddôl also has its own sofa to one side of the windows so you can sit & enjoy the outdoors even when indoors. Cromen Ddôl has its own Tŷ Bach (‘small house’ which means toilet in Welsh!) next door: a pretty, hand built, eco-friendly tree bog, though we do have a flushing loo in one of the wet rooms if you prefer. The showers, toilet & kitchen cabin are just under a minute away across the meadow. This dome has a cool & quirky meadow-themed décor which reflects the countryside around us at Wild Wellingtons. Huge windows across the front merges the outside with the inside: lay in bed with a cup of tea & a magazine, looking out at the sky and the mountains, lush (as we say in Wales).
- Cromen Glan Môr (Seaside Dome) — Cromen Glan Môr (Seaside Dome) is our 4-5 person dome with a king size bed, 2 singles . Four guests are the perfect amount, though we can accommodate one more on a fold up bed or a travel cot if required (subject to availability/surcharges apply) though it will be a little bit of a squeeze. The four poster bed takes pride of place in the centre of the room and sits opposite the window to make the most of the panoramic views of Welsh hills, mountains, pasture and skies. Cromen Glan Môr is situated in our meadow, around 13 metres from the grassed play area. The kitchen cabin, showers and toilet are less than a minute away. This dome has a subtle coastal themed décor: natural materials in deep, calm colours, washed out effects and furnishings, candle lit hurricane lanterns and quirky ornaments, depicting things found at the seaside, embody our wild Welsh coast. This is no deckchair and beach hut kind of dome!
