There is a minimum 3 night stay on all our pitches. If you are planning on taking an awning, gazebo, extra car parking or boat space, you will need to book the relevant pitch size. We’re delighted to accept dogs; just make sure you tell us at the time of booking so we can make the necessary arrangements.
If you are looking for a great camping holiday in Cornwall, then Headland Caravan Park could be just what you are looking for. In an incredible location nestled on the cliffs of the North Cornish coast, the park is a ten minute walk to the world famous ruins of King Arthur’s Castle and Merlin’s Cave at Tintagel.
Headland Caravan Park is a lovely simple site - recently under new management - without lots of fuss and rules….just plenty of space to pitch up and relax. There is a range of accommodation here to suit everyone. The touring pitches are perfect for tents, caravans and motorhomes and there is a choice of hardstanding or grassy pitches. 30 of the 50 pitches have an electric hook-up if needed. There is a good amenities block too, with toilets, free hot showers and hair dryers and there are drinking water taps on the site. Dogs are very welcome; just make sure you let the campsite know when you book. If you don’t have your own motorhome, then there is also the choice of hiring one of their static caravans, all of which have private bathrooms, well-equipped kitchens, a digital TV and DVD and all bed linen. They range from one bedroom to three bedrooms; so plenty of room for everyone if you have a larger group.
Location wise you are brilliantly placed to explore this gorgeous part of Cornwall. Tintagel village is just a few minutes walk from the park, with shops, pubs and local amenities. A trip to Tintagel Castle is a must; follow in the footsteps of the medieval inhabitants and cross the footbridge over to the island. Once there, explore the remains of the 13th Century castle and discover its history through the outdoor displays. Wander down to the beach below and build sandcastles or - when the tide is out - explore Merlin's Cave, the legendary home of Merlin the wizard.
Also nearby there are fantastic beaches to visit. Half an hour south down the coast is the surfing beach of Polzeath (or further south still, world class surfing at Newquay), quaint Port Isacc, the lovely village of Rock and - across the estuary by ferry - the famous fishing town of Padstow. If you head north, you will come to Boscastle with the River Valency flowing through it. Sea trips can be taken from Boscastle harbour, or a cliff walk from here will take you along to Pentargon - Cornwall’s highest waterfall. On the shore is Seal’s Hole, where large numbers of seals can sometimes be seen sunning themselves on the rocks. This stretch of coastline is absolutely stunning, and walks in either direction will provide breathtaking views. The south west coast path passes right past the door of Headland Caravan Park and there are a huge number of great walking and biking trails from here.
Headland Caravan Park is a great place to come on holiday to Cornwall, relax and recharge in a wonderful clifftop location with magical sea views, breathtaking sunsets and glorious countryside scenery.
