A little further away are Shrewsbury, Ludlow, historic Ironbridge and Telford There are garden centres, museums, castles, country houses and farmers markets all within easy access. Further away is the beautiful welsh coast or the Snowdonia national park to take your breath away. If animals are more your thing you could spend a day at West Midlands Safari & Theme park or at Acton Scott working farm museum (the Victorian farm). In Welshpool or Newtown you can access the Cambrian coast railway line, thought to be one of the most beautiful in the uk. if steam trains are your preference, try the Welshpool & Llanfair light railway.
