Tewkesbury Town Museum is a quirky destination that is small housed in a seventeenth century half timber building, which increases the history you'll find using its lumber panelling and sloping floorboards. You can find 3 floors high in shows, but some might find the stairs a little tricky in this building that is old. There is a great deal to see fro a metal that is wonderful display in the 2nd flooring, an area specialized in the1471 Battle of Tewkesbury and others showing neighborhood history througout the many years. Discover what life was like here during Roman times making sure you take a review of the display that is interesting World War I. Keep an eye out for bricks from the 1600s, ancient floor tiles and a wheelchair from 1906! You can find models, including one of Mop Fair, an arrowhead bought at Holme hill and a great many other arefacts to see, plus some on the job items to really allow you to get to grips with history. This place is mostly run by volunteers who are only too thrilled to inform you more in regards to the items which can be fascinating will discover right here like the Roman skeleton and coins which are more than 100 years old.
