Perfect Day Surf | SUP School Strandhill | Sligo Aloha! Perfect Day Surf school is based on the beautiful beach of Strandhill in County Sligo. Tom and Simone Hickey originally founded Perfect Day Surf School back in the summer of 1998. Back then there were no surf schools in Sligo and only a small community of surfers. For the last 18 years this small family business has developed a reputation for being one of the safest and most progressive surf schools in Ireland. Our Heritage Is Based In Tradition And We Are Proud To Share The Experience Of Surfing &this means that whether you are coming along for your first lesson or are coming for more progressive instruction and training, youre dealing with experienced professionals who are themselves experienced surfers. This makes a big difference! Daughter Elisha and Son Zachary are both actively involved in running the business. Elisha has been surfing since she was six and is passionate about her surfing and coaching. Zachary also a surfer is happier teaching SUP to our ever growing client base. Two seasons ago Perfect Day moved from the busy seafront to a custom premises in Strandhill Business and Technology park. This new premises contains private, secure changing rooms, meeting and sit around area. Tea and coffee facilities. Toilet facilities. Ample free parking. We use the Northern end of Strandhill beach for our surf lessons. Whether youre a beginner taking your first lesson or an experienced surfer just looking for some advice, the team at Perfect Day Surf School will be there to help! Private surfing classes Private one-toone individual classes and two-to-one private classes are where you can really focus on developing skills with your own personal surf coach. These can be tailored specifically to your needs so you get the attention you need! Chicks only! We offer women only surf classes with our professional female instructors. So lets go girls!!! Why not come and learn to surf with our experienced female pro-surfing instructors Sorry, no dudes allowed! Kids Surfing Summer Camps Our surf summer camps run weekly Monday to Friday from 10am 1pm or 2pm 5pm depending on the tide times on that week . First camp of the 2011 season starts on Monday July 4th at 2pm. With a maximum of 12 participants per surf camp, safety and fun are our main priorities. As well as surfing, participants attending our Surfing Summer Camps will enjoy workshops: Ocean Awareness Surf Safety Beach ecology and Rockpool exploration Loads of fun beach games! Friday end of camp B B -Q and certification. SUP Classes At Perfect Day SUP School we cater for all abilities, no experience necessary. Introductory lessons are held in a safe flat water environment. All equipment is supplied and wetsuits and life jackets are provided. Lessons range from individual 1:1 lessons, 2:1, women only, couples and small groups. Each lesson lasts approx 1 hr 30 mins and comprises theory, practice and paddle session. Rates per person: 35 EURO IN A GROUP 40 EURO 2:1 50 EURO 1:1
