Bideford is an attractive port town on the banks of the River Torridge in Devon. It's a great place to holiday as there's so much to do. You can wander down the narrow streets to find small shops and galleries, then stroll along the waterfront before dining in one of the excellent quayside pubs and restaurants. For a longer walk, the South West Coast Path National Trail runs through the town and provides access to the beautiful Devon coastline. On a fine day, taking a pleasure boat trip to Lundy Island is a must, as is checking out the Pannier Market for crafts and produce twice a week. When there's less favourable weather, the Atlantic Village outlet shopping centre and adventure park Atlantis will offer fun for all the family and is situated just on the outskirts of town. If you happen to be visiting for New Year's Eve, don't miss the annual fancy dress celebrations and fireworks that Bideford has become renowned for.
