# South Port O Spittal Certificated Location

The CL at South Port ‘O’ Spittal, with sea views, is situated a short 10 minute drive away from the picture post-card harbour village of Portpatrick. The village boasts a few excellent pubs and restaurants overlooking the harbour. The village itself is home to a top notch lifeboat and the famous lifeboat week in August attracts many visitors to the village.

Within one hour of the CL is the Mull of Galloway, the most southern part of Scotland and home to an RSPB nature reserve. There are a number of designated walks in the area including the Mull of Galloway Trail.

For those with an interest in gardens there are the Logan Botanic Gardens, arguably Scotland's most exotic garden, whilst a short drive away to the north are the 75 acres of Castle Kennedy gardens.

A popular day trip is by ferry from nearby Cairnryan to the bustling city of Belfast with its excellent shopping possibilities and of course it’s first rate Titanic exhibition.

The nearest main centre is Stranraer with Tesco, Morrisons and Lidl available for the larger grocery shop and all the other usual facilities.

Within a short distance from the CL are a number of sports opportunities including golf, fishing, etc. The Ryan Centre at Stranraer is an indoor sports complex.

All in all, there is something for everyone within a short drive from Port ‘O’ Spittal.
