Dowlais Farm was bought by business partners David, Kathrin, John and Lucy in 2017 and the restoration process was started immediately. The first step was to move the landscaping business run by David and John onto the premises. The farmhouse was very run down but after a lot of TLC David and Kathrin moved in in May 2018. The same year the sheep were added to the farm and a year later our chickens joined us. ​

Due to the size of the farm and the number of outbuildings the renovation process continues and we are currently turning the barn adjacent to the farmhouse into holiday lets. The two units will be available to rent later in 2022.

Since spring 2022 Dowlais Farm is also proud to be part of the Greener Camping Club. All Greener Camping Club campsites are carefully assessed for their sustainability, impact on the environment and opportunities for wildlife.
