Eastgate Caravan Site and Don's Pond is a family run, family friendly site ideally situated in the tranquil village of East Heslerton. It is 13 miles from the seaside resort of Scarborough & 30 miles from the beautiful & historic city of York. Nearby is the small market town of Malton with its regular food markets throughout the year. Eastgate Caravan Site is in the heart of the countryside with lovely views of the surrounding area and the Yorkshire Wolds are nearby just over the hill. We are situated next to the York to Scarborough railway line where throughout July and August there is the wonderful sight of the magnificent steam engines running frequently down the line to Scarborough. The nearest shop is a 2-mile drive away and there are plenty of village pubs serving a variety of food in the area. There is a regular bus service through our village to Scarborough and York; the bus stop is a 15-minute walk from the caravan site. We are taking bookings - see our opening dates below. We are adjacent to the railway which is great especially throughout the summer months with the spectacular steam trains passing by. There is nice shower & toilet facilities which are free of charge. All pitches are well spaced out & each include hook up & water. Children's play area also minature ponies & pygmy goats in the adjoining field. The fishing ponds are within 5 mins walking distance & well stocked with Carp,Bream,Tench,Roach & Rudd. ### Nearby Attractions Within 1/2 hour drive you will find: The seaside resorts of: Scarborough,Whitby,Filey,Bridlington Historic York with the Railway Museum,shopping & lovely cobbled streets Pickerings North Yorkshire Railway,Swimming Pool & castle.
