Damson Pod

We have three private and exclusive glamping pods which boast fantastic views over the valley towards Carsington Water. You can escape to the peace and quiet of our rural farm yet within easy reach of Ashbourne (3 miles) and nearby cities of Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield. We are located on the edge of the Peak District and have plenty of walking and cycle routes on the doorstep. 

Our facilities are built with quality in mind with cedar cladding, fully insulated and eco-powered and heated by the farm wind turbine. The view from the pods over the valley and Carsington Water is beautiful particularly in the morning. Not just in sunshine, the changing weather patterns create some spectacular scenes especially during Autumn and Winter. All can be enjoyed and viewed from inside the cosy glamping pods too.

Damson and Bluebell Pods each sleep two guests, ideal for couples and Lavender Pod sleeps up to four guests, ideal for families. Groups of eight can enjoy exclusive hire of our glamping site, great for a family or friends Peak District gathering. Damson and Lavender Pods are pet friendly too.

We are open all year around and as a family run business we don't believe in hiking the prices in school holidays so we don't.

We just have a minimum of a three-night weekend or four-night midweek stay during school holidays.

Our Damson Pod and Lavender Pod are pet friendly and we welcome well behaved dogs on our farm. As we have sheep and cattle roaming around your glamping pods, we have to limit this to two in each pod per stay and must be kept on leads at all times.



**Directions to Mulino Pods:**

If you are arriving by public transport the nearest train station is either Derby, Belper or Uttoxeter. There are then bus routes to the town of Ashbourne and a taxi thereafter is necessary. 
We are in a rural location, approximately 35-45 minutes footpath walk to the nearest village of Kniveton (and bus stop).

With two generous sized bedrooms the cabin is perfect for couples or smaller families. If you are a group of friends the beds in the master bedroom are zip and link and can be made up as singles.

There’s no queuing for the facilities as there are two bathrooms in Hipley cabin. Relax in the luxurious whirlpool bath or enjoy a refreshing shower in the accessible wet room.

Hoe Grange Holidays

The accommodation in the bungalow is set over two floors and has oil central heating throughout. Entering at the rear of the property takes you into the utility room, ideal for muddy boots and dogs! The kitchen & utility area are well equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, electric cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer. The adjoining hallway leads to the bathroom housing a shower, wash basin, WC and shaver point. Across the hallway is the dining room and adjoining lounge for those relaxing evenings in with satellite TV, DVD, and a selection of books. Free WiFi is also available.

Near the front door entrance is the first bedroom a ground floor twin bedded room and wardrobe space. The stair case leads you to the double bedroom and on the opposite landing a third bedroom with a single bed.

In the lawned garden, a table and chairs on the patio are ideal for some summer alfresco dining.

The huts, named after two of our previous sheepdogs, Lily and Fern, have a built in double bed with luxury mattress and linen, with ample storage space underneath. The toilets and shower are just a short stroll away from the shepherds huts, through the apple orchard into the old dairy. The shepherds huts can sleep up to two people on either a self-catered basis or with a choice of breakfast hampers delivered to your door.We are dog friendly and don’t charge extra, however we kindly ask that they are kept off the furnishings and should any damage occur the hirer is responsible for costs.

Welcome to New Hanson Grange! 

The farm has been our home for 34 years and it's the place where we raised our two daughters before they went off to different parts of the world.

After 20 years we sold the milking herd of pedigree Holstein cows and a beef herd was then established for 10 years, until we decided to become solely a sheep farm. The farm has always had a flock of sheep alongside the other livestock.

The farm is red tractor assured and farmed under a conservation stewardship policy to benefit wildlife.

You will see various areas of planted woodland, the newest being planted 10 years ago. It is on the edge of this new wood where we chose to site Lily and Fern our shepherd huts, allowing guests the best experience of being close to nature.

We are first and foremost a quiet country campsite. ​ We are not in any way commercial, and look to serve ordinary down to earth customers, looking for a friendly peaceful escape. You may hear tractors in the lanes & fields, cows and sheep are also in the fields near the site as this is a farming community. ​ Hopefully you will be able to recharge with lovely fresh air, long country walks and great Derbyshire hospitality. ​ Loud music is not allowed, no noise after 10pm and before 8am.

Great little Peak District Campsite on the edge of a picturesque White Peak Village
Ideally located 4 mins walk from a great village pub and a wonderful cafe, both on the Village Green, just handy for the campsite.

Dozens of fantastic walks lead directly from the campsite. You can choose to walk through the droving lanes of the village, up onto the moors, the Tissington Trail to the cycle hire or venture down the breathtaking Lathkill Dale, a national nature reserve that follows the Limestone Gorge to the east of the village.

A family farm ice cream parlour is on the edge of the village along with other eateries and a local fuel station. Close by we have other small village shops and many wonderful farm shops.


Loud music is not allowed, no noise after 10pm and before 8am.

Tent Pitch (Non-Electric)

Greystones Nawab Camping and Touring is a small basic and friendly campsite in the middle of the beautiful Peak District countryside; completely rural, but only 15 minutes from the famous spa town of Buxton in Derbyshire. Relatively new on the campsite scene - Greystones nawab offers grassy pitches for 5 caravans /3 motorhomes and 10 tent pitches on well-tended land, surrounded by dry stone walls and mature trees and shrubs.

It is a pretty place, and the views from the campsite take some beating. Everyone is welcome here; it is family-friendly, motorcycle friendly and dog friendly and facilities include electric hooks-ups should you want it, outside a washing up area side of portacabin, showers and toilets are in purpose-built portacabin Right next door to the campsite there is a wonderful donkey sanctuary, so it is just a stroll away to go and say hello to these gentle animals.

This is a small basic site in the centre of peak park very scenic site is in a prime position for exploring all that the Peak District has to offer. For walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, Greystones nawab is very close to several excellent walks Monsal trail Tissington trail, many pretty little villages and cycling routes, and there are also opportunities for pony trekking, climbing and paragliding if you feel like experiencing something a bit different! The Peak District is a National Park, so if you want to plan your trip well, visit one of the excellent visitor centres that are set up to help you navigate around the many hills and trails in the area.

Aside from exploring the surrounding Peak District, Greystone is also close to several excellent family attractions. Take a magical journey underground at Poole’s Cavern - just a ten-minute drive away - and explore the huge limestone caverns which date back 2 million years. They also have a large park and picnic area with some lovely woodland trails to follow, and for those who like the high ropes - one of Go Apes highest adventure courses is here, with zip wires, aerial walkways and perilous bridges. And talking of perilous, Alton Towers is about 40 minutes away by car if you wanted a full day out of rollercoasters and excitement. Peak Wildlife Park is also nearby, allowing you to come face to face with several exotic and endangered animals. 

The thermal spa town of Buxton, with its Georgian and Victorian architecture, is a very popular destination in the area, as well as idyllic Bakewell, on the banks of the River Wye and close to Chatsworth House - one of Derbyshire’s most popular stately homes with its magnificent gardens.

You will certainly not be short of things to do here! Greystones nawab is a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day exploring the Peak District; it is quiet, tranquil and relaxing; ideal to kick back in a chair and watch the sun go down. If you fancy a night off the cooking there are several good pubs within walking distance offering excellent home-cooked food. 

As locations go, Greystone is a lovely spot, so make sure you leave enough time to explore all that the stunning Peak District has to offer. we also have a cafe next door please note toilets and showers are in a purpose-built portacabin and washing facilities are on outside of side portacabin.

There is a 90 minute taster being offered for families to try out paddle that is stand-up, sailing, windsurfing and kayaking! No excuse not to find to your next family members activity that is new! The teachers are highly qualified and excellent at working together with newbies and families - of newbiesit dry side there is also a cycle hire facility amidst a network of roads including the short family friendly 3 miler and the considerably more gruelling 8 miler!If you like! Hill bikes, electric bikes, youngster seats, label a longs and tow buggies are available so you should not tote the kit yourselves!During the summer vacation period there are several additional tasks and enjoyable days laid on, so it is well worth keeping an eye out utilizing our handy website link (its over there!) to see just what fun that is additional can get in on! There's also regular occasions which can be orienteering here, perfect for active families! Plus watercraft oriented fly fishing is also permitted right here.
