We are a small freindly family run campsite Owned and run by our family for over 50 years in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside with 45 tent piches and 10 caravan / motorhome pitches. We like to keep our site as peaceful and quite as possible so you can relax during your stay and take in the view of Mam Tor, The Vale of Edale and Kinder. We like to keep our site as peaceful and quite as possible so you can relax during your stay and take in the view of Mam Tor, The Vale of Edale and Kinder. We have toilets,showers and hot and cold water available. We allow the use of BBQ's but do not allow the burning of wood. We ask that after 10pm at night that noise is kept to minimum. Dogs are allowed on the site but must be kept on leads at all times. We do NOT have any electric hook up on site. Being based on a Working farm there are free roaming chickens and ducks throughout the campsite and the fields surrounding the campsite have our goats and selection of sheep. We are located half a mile away from the two village pubs,shop and train station. WATERSIDE FARM CAMPING CARAVANS. The vans are set up for a maximum of 2 people to enjoy a camping experience without the hassle of putting up a tent or getting wet when it rains. The van has a full sized double bed and memory foam mattress, which is made up on arrival so no need to bring your own bedding, and is a fixed feature. There is a separate table and chairs at the rear of the van so the bed does not have to be put up and down each day as you would have to in most two birth vans. The vans cooking facilities is a two ring gas hob; we have provided pots, pans cutlery, crockery and utensil, The van has 12 volt electric lighting and 1 USB port to charge your mobile phone All powered by solar panels . . There is no other plug sockets or electrical equipment in the van. Built into the kitchen there is a cool box for use as your fridge. We supply and replenish the ice packs on request . As the site has its own toilets and showers and these are close by to the caravans there is no toilet or washroom in the van its self. The vans can only be booked via Airbnb just search Waterside farm edale in the where are you going box On Airbnb site or app and one of our vans should be listed to see both vans click on host (Helen) and both vans should then be shown. Nearby Attractions The site is located within a ten minute walk from the station, a twenty minute walk from, the start of the Pennine way, footpaths to Kinder Scout, local pubs, shop and information centre. Within driving distance of Castleton and its Blue John Caverns. The towns of Buxton and Bakewell are within 30 minute driving time.
