Level lawned site with wide easy access,. There is a lake ( no fishing .) but throw the fish some bread and see what comes to the surface ! Mixed woodland at the side of the site. Mown circular lakeside walk. Quiet peaceful site, not overlooked. Renovated working wind pump by lake. Ideal site for bird watching. Springtime sees the return of our large population of swallows, which breed here every year, among the farm buildings, a breathtaking sight on summer evenings as they swoop through the air. We have many other species of birds here too, including a family of barn owls which nest in our purpose built owl tower, which can be viewed from the site, A lovely thing to watch on a summers evening as the owls are out foraging along the surrounding hedgerows. Resident also in our attractive dovecotes are many decorative white doves. A few lucky caravanners have even seen kingfishers by the lake ! Village post office /shop and pub 0.25 miles away. Market town with traditional butchers, local bakery, bank, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, various take-away food outlets only two miles.
