Church Farm Ardeley is an all-round family adventure; great fun for adults and kids alike! On your visit to the farm you will meet and feed our Red Poll Cattle, Lleyn and Welsh Black Mountain Sheep, Berkshire Pigs, British Lop Pigs, Aylesbury Ducks, Laying Chickens in Vicars Orchard, Chickens in Pits Wood, as well as Norfolk Black Turkeys and Embden Geese. There are nearly always chicks in the chick shed, lambs, piglets and calves to see too. Around the grounds there is a good amount of flora and fauna with an orchard where you can pick your own fruit and veggies (seasonal), a magical fairy woodland, two ponds, a thriving home garden and three bee hives. We have seasonal activities for our visitors, such as lamb bottle feeding during Spring, and harvesting in September/October. Over the Easter, Summer, Halloween, Christmas and the half-term holidays we have special themed attractions, Easter egg hunts, trick or treating, meeting Father Christmas and so on. Alongside this, children can go on tractor rides, revel in the woodland play areas, follow the farm trail, play in the sand pit, plus lots more to see and explore! Indoors there is a soft play area for the under 5’s (currently Covid-19 restrictions are in place). The farm has a shop that is well-stocked. You can purchase delicious farm grown fruit, veggies and local meats. We also support the local community by offering a Rural Care Programme for adults with learning difficulties. The Rural Care team become Co-Farmers who gain valuable, real-life work experience on the Farm. In addition, we have educational programs for schools, and for local businesses and forward-thinking leaders, we run motivational team building workshops for staff, groups and like-minded people. If camping or glamping is your thing, you can do this too. Camp with us and you will sleep under the stars on a real working farm set in 170 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. We have a Farm Café and Pub which serves delicious meals, snacks and cakes (currently Covid-19 restrictions are in place). In the café we have a range of hot and cold drinks best served with fresh cake or sultana scones with cream and jam. For those with food intolerances, we have gluten and vegan options. The Jolly Waggoner’s Pub is a traditional free-house pub that serves real hearty food, real ales alongside a real fire. We look forward to welcoming you soon! Tim & Emma

- Beards Oak Wood Cabin — Situated in Beards Oak Wood, which is 150m from the Farm Shop, Café and Pub, our rustic cabins are the perfect rural get away without the effort of camping – think of them as wooden tents with a proper bed and wood burner. Cabins are suitable for two adults and two children - each cabin has a double bed and camp beds can be provided for children (under 2 stay for free). A wood burner is in every cabin, ideal to for those chilly evenings. Logs can be purchased from the Farm Shop. Well behaved dogs are welcome. There is room for one car to be parked next to each cabin.
- Foggage Cabin & Foggage Field Hire (secluded cabin, includes own private field for groups) — Foggage Cabin & Foggage Field is a secluded cabin located in its own one-acre private field which is perfect for family groups. The views are amazing. Located in a lovely spot on the farm approximately 10 minutes from the main farm complex, there are two compost loos and a gas shower located in Foggage Field near the cabin for your private use. Price includes Cabin and Field Hire - campers pay on top - price per person, per night. Our rustic cabins are the perfect rural get away without the effort of camping – think of them as wooden tents with a proper bed and wood burner. Foggage Cabin is slightly smaller than the other cabins accommodating one small camp bed, plus the double bed, so two adults and one child in total. Under 2's stay for free. A wood burner is in every cabin, ideal to for those chilly evenings. Logs can be purchased from the Farm Shop. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Parking is in Squitmore Field which is a minutes walk from Foggage Cabin.
- Badgers Cabin — Badgers Cabin is located in Upany Field accessible by the Sunken Lane – it’s away from other cabins and has great views over the fields. It is not unusual to wake up to a view of sheep outside the window and it is located near the badger sett so perfect as a hide to wait and see what comes by. Badgers Cabin is suitable for two adults and two children - it has a double bed and camp beds can be provided for children (under 2 stay for free). A wood burner is in every cabin, ideal to for those chilly evenings. Logs can be purchased from the Farm Shop. Well behaved dogs are welcome. There is room for one car to be parked next to each cabin.
- Pits Wood Cabin — Pits Wood was planted in 2003, it’s a very pretty area to stay and an opportunity to see young woodland growing with developing ecosystems. Accessed through Vicarage Field and nestled amongst surrounding fields, Pits Wood is located near where many of the farm animals live so don’t be surprised to hear piglets grunting or chickens clucking. The wood is approx. 200m to the farm and access is possible with a car when fields are dry. Our rustic cabins are the perfect rural get away without the effort of camping – think of them as wooden tents with a proper bed and wood burner. Cabins are suitable for two adults and two children - each cabin has a double bed and camp beds can be provided for children (under 2 stay for free). A wood burner is in every cabin, ideal to for those chilly evenings. Logs can be purchased from the Farm Shop. Well behaved dogs are welcome. There is room for one car to be parked next to each cabin.
- ESSENTIALS Bell Tent Package — The ESSENTIALS Bell Tent package includes hire of a spacious canvas Bell Tent for up to 4 nights. Suitable for 2 adults and up to 3 children, the bell tent is not glamped and remember to bring your own bedding for this option :-). As standard the bell tent comes with one double bed and two single mattresses (complete with new waterproof disposable mattress covers) and a third single camp bed can be provided on request. A small rustic wooden crate is provided for storage. The farm is a place for quiet camping and enjoyment of the countryside and no amplified music of any kind is allowed at on site. It’s essential that prior to booking you familiarise yourself with our Camping Rules & Regulations, as there are important points you will need to know as part of your stay with us, thank you. Our bell tents are in two set locations around the farm - Pits Wood which is closer to the main farm & the more secluded Squitmore Spring Wood which is 5 minutes drive from the main farmyard (view map HERE) - and cannot be moved. - Woods Camping — Woodland Camping - Beards Oak Wood or Lowany Wood, ideal for Wild Camping, Hammocks & Tarps. Camping with us and you will sleep under the stars. Staying on a real working farm set in 170 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. Our campsite is a place for quiet camping and enjoyment of the countryside. Ideal for families and friends. Woods camping locations are limited and rotate around our woods throughout the season. In peak months we will be operating a pitch allocation system. Most of the time it is possible to drive a car to the woods - exception is in winter when fields are wet. **Small campervans such as traditional VW size are permitted - but larger than this and motorhomes and caravans are not allowed on our site.**
- Camping At The Farm — Camping with us and you will sleep under the stars staying on a real working farm set in 170 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. Our campsite is a place for quiet family camping and enjoyment of the countryside. Ideal for families and friends. We run an open pitch campsite allowing customers to pitch where they wish in the camping field. Therefore, there is no guarantee you can pitch near friends / family, so it is highly advisable to book a private area if you want family & friends to be close by. **Small campervans such as traditional VW size are permitted - but larger than this and motorhomes and caravans are not allowed on our site.**
- PREMIUM Glamping Package — The PREMIUM Glamping Package includes hire of a spacious canvas Bell Tent for up to 4 nights.
