We are the closest touring park to Truro. We are delighted to be a family run park offering great customer service, facilities, set in stunning parkland countryside. A perfect venue for a relaxing holiday in a quiet location yet connected to the city and only 10 minutes drive to the nearby beaches of Perranporth and St Agnes. At the heart of our approach is providing you with a warm welcome and lots of local knowledge to make your holiday the best it can be. We are really pleased that our recent investment and customer experience has been recognised by the AA with 4 GOLD Pennants, ranking us one of the best campsites in Cornwall and were awarded the AA Most Improved Campsite of the Year Award for 2019/2020. As a family run site we pride ourselves on our customer service, ensuring you have the best time possible. Spotlessly clean facilities which will allow you to fully enjoy your experience at Summer Valley. We work hard to maintain our high standards. Modern shop stocked with all the essentials and locally produced goods. Ample free hot showers and heated amenities block with launderette and inside washing up facilities, free hair dryer and freezer for ice packs. Plenty of Tourist information and local hints and tips you may need for a relaxing holiday. a 5 minute drive from the City centre yet in a quiet valley surrounded by Parkland. There are many walks from the park exploring the local area; often ending at a coffee shop or local pub! We can provide maps of circular walk via public footpaths for you. Truro can be accessed via a public footpath and cycleway route directly from the park – Sustrans route 32 & 3 are very nearby. Pitch and Store and Winter Storage available. Free Wifi (subject to fair usage) Bus routes near by. Easily accessible via a 500m straight road and only 3 miles from the A30. Wanting to explore? We are perfectly located for visiting the north and south coasts.
Accommodation types
- Glamping Pod — Our Glamping Pod, located in the heart of Cornwall, allows you the freedom of camping in the countryside but with more protection from the elements. You will still need to bring all your camping equipment except your tent! We are proud of the Pod, it comfortably sleeps two and has a beautiful south facing personal wooden deck to sit and enjoy the parkland views over rolling fields. Inside the Pod you will find a double futton (sofa and extending bed), electric socket and interior lighting. Its highly insulated (warm in winter, cool in summer) and double glazed. The Pod sleeps two and has space next to the deck for a pup tent and car, normal campsite fees apply. You will need to bring your own bedding (sheet, duvet/sleeping bag and pillows) and perhaps some outdoor chairs, we also recommend you bring some slippers or similar footwear for inside the pod as we ask that no outdoor shoes are worn inside (keeps the wooden floor looking nice!)
- Static Caravan — Our static holiday caravan at Summer Valley offers comfortable spotlessly clean accommodation. It is fully equipped to ensure you have the most comfortable holiday possible. Open plan living and dining area with gas fire and colour TV / Freeview. Well appointed kitchen, refrigerator, microwave and full oven and hob. Double bedroom and secondary twin bedroom. Shower room with toilet and wash basin. There is a large raised decked area with table and chairs for you to enjoy a meal or simply a quiet drink. Linen is provided at no extra cost leaving you with nothing to bring but yourselves! Price for Static Van, includes electricity, bed linen and up to 4 persons. (You need to bring your own towels and tea towels). Tariff shown is for a 7 night stay during the dates stated. Change over day is Saturday.
- Non-Electric Grass Pitch — This is a well tendered grass pitch ready for the back to basic camper. The average size is 9m wide by 8m deep and is usually bordered by shrubs and all have great views across the park. Some pitches are larger and can be selected during the booking process. There is a water supply nearby. Lighting is adequate but limited, in keeping with our sensitive environmental approach.
- Electric Grass Pitches — This pitch measures at least 10m wide x 10m deep and has the inclusion of an electric hook up point. You will find the pitch well drained, immaculately presented and benefiting from stunning views across the park. Many of the pitches are bordered by mature, beautiful tress. There will be a water supply nearby and are suitable for tents, trailer tents, motorhomes & caravans.
- Hardstanding Pitch — Our hard-standing gravel pitches are fully serviced (electric, water, grey water waste). The pitches vary in size and are placed in a range of locations across the park and can accomodate a motorhome, campervan or caravan, see individual pitch sizes/location via the online booking page.
- Non-Electric Super Grass Pitch — We have developed a stunning large pitch in a corner woodland section of the park. Please note you are only able to pitch ONE tent on this pitch, even though it is a very large pitch. You are welcome to have a pup tent, awning or gazebo.
