# Lancashire Infantry Museum

> The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment Lancashire Infantry Museum The Lancashire Infantry Museum, the largest Regimental archive and the premier centre for military historical research in the North of England. The Museum is housed in the heart of Lancashire, in the traditional home of the old county infantry regiments in Fulwood Barracks, Preston. We preserve for posterity the achievements, records and artefacts of those historic infantry regiments of Lancashire which now form part of The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, created in 2006 by the amalgamation of The Kings Own Royal Border, Kings and Queen's Lancashire Regiments. We are also proud to be officially responsible for collecting and collating historical material relating to the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment itself.

History buffs, that is one for you personally. Lancashire Infantry Museum may be the largest archive that is regimental Northern England and it is filled with costumes, crafts and family fun.Housed in the old Fulwood Barracks, it's a real treasure trove with records, intriguing artefacts and preserved achievements for the infantry regiments of Central Lancashire, the Queen's Lancashire regiment and its' predecessors the East, Southern and Loyal North Lancashire Regiments.Sometimes it may be hard to get kids involved with exhibitions, but there is no fear of that here: they are able to decorate in uniform or try on helmets and caps, along with being permitted to hold a number of the tools (where safe and appropriate). They could then explore the product with videos, jigsaws and also respond inside their means that is very own with and colouring kits. It is fundamentally an scholarly education with all the fun bits.
