Church View Campsite At Suffolk Academy

You will find a small family run campsite at Church View. No frills but everything you need for a quiet retreat in a convenient location. Family friendly and lively in the summer months and just quiet countryside living when you most need it! Plenty of lanes to walk or cycle or just wander into the village of Barrow to pick up your supplies at one of the two local convenience stores. If you decide to 'stay in' you are welcome to use your BBQ or firepit while you watch the sun go down. **NEW FOR '22 - Our very own Thai Fusion Restaurant and Take Away** Breakfast through to dinner with a fully licenced bar. Also in the village are two pubs and a chippy! Your four legged friends will love the local walkies and 1 dog is included per pitch. The total number of dogs on site is limited. Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times. Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge. The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro). With loads of activities in the area the big kids will be happy and the little ones have a small play area on site. The campsite rabbits and chickens love visitors too. Church View started as a CL and has evolved into the 36 pitch site it is today. The site is run by Julie and Glen who offer a contactless check-in but are on site to give you a warm welcome and assistance if you need it together with their campsite wardens. PLEASE NOTE : On the first weekend of every month and from 23rd June - 2nd Jul inc. the site hosts a marathon event. The start and finish line are on the camping field and there will be some movement from about 7.30am as they arrive and set off. The events usually finish by about 3pm. Accommodation types
- Glamping Pod — The luxury home from home pod was new for 2021. Sleeping up to a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults & 3 children with one double bed, a single bunk over and a double sofa bed too. Microwave, fridge and sink in the kitchen plus a TV. Toilet and shower facilities in the main shared block Bring your own bedding. Dog friendly - 1 well behaved dog allowed.
- Non Electric Grass — Grass pitches to suit tents of any size, small groups can camp together in our free form pitches or request a large pitch if your tent is extra big! Water standpipes are never far away
- Adult Only Electric & Water Grass — These fully grass extra large pitches have EHU and water and a sunset view. No groups. Two pitch maximum. One well behaved, quiet dog allowed. Adults only. Quiet and peaceful much of the time. Note - the assault course The Playground is adjacent which can be a source of entertainment and during busy periods can temporarily be 'lively'.
- Electric grass — Good sized grass pitches suitable for Caravans, Campers, Tents or Motorhomes 10 amp electric hookup
- Hard Surface Electric & Water — Two large 8m x 10m Pitches half and half hardstanding and grass. Plenty of room to pitch an awning and/or your car. One slightly smaller pitch. These pitches are near the entrance for easy access. Great for motorhomes or caravans all year round. EHU & Water at the pitch.
- Non-Electric Grass Backpacker Pitch — Grass pitches to suit small tents for backpackers. Water standpipes are never far away
- Electric & Water Grass — Good sized grass pitches for tents, caravans, campers or motorhomes 10amp electric hookup and water at the pitch.
