**TAKING GROUP BOOKINGS ONLY** Beanhill Farm is set in the quiet, friendly, peaceful and extremely scenic surroundings of the Royal Forest of Dean in the county of Gloucestershire. Close to the Severn River and the magnificent meandering Wye Valley. Beanhill farm takes advantage of our excellent Camping and Caravan facilities where we welcome tents, trailer tents, motor caravans and caravans. Campsite overlooks a lake fed by a brook running through the gently sloping valley. Beanhill is flanked to the east by the mighty Severn. At 220 miles it is Britain’s longest river and it is famous for the unique bore that run during certain tides. There is a limestone plateau that rises from behind the farm to the north, eventually topping at 800 feet above sea level. To the west is the beautiful winding Wye Valley, the whole area is covered by woodlands, forests and beautiful countryside. Expect to see, at varying times of the year, carpets of bluebells, rolling fields of bright yellow rape seed and the stunning canopy of ancient forest. Wildlife is prolific, deer and boar run freely in the woodland of the Forest of Dean, you may also glimpse Kingfishers, Goshawks, Peregrines or Red Kites. To the south west lies the Welsh border marked by the River Wye as it joins the Severn. As you cross the River Severn Chepstow will mark this border. Other towns close by include Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye. Smaller villages include Brockweir, St Briavels and Lydney. Further afield are Bristol, Gloucester and Cardiff. The area, though steeped in history, has become a modern playground for outdoor activities and has provided locations for recent movies including Harry Potter and Star Wars. We have 2 individual showers & 2 individual toilets & 1 shower & toilet in the same cubicle. We charge 50p for shower tokens.
