The campsite has many varied pitches. We have a number of small enclosed family meadows that have far reaching views across the dales to the distance. We are first and foremost a quiet country campsite. ​ We are not in any way commercial, and look to serve ordinary down to earth customers, looking for a friendly peaceful escape. You may hear tractors in the lanes & fields, cows and sheep are also in the fields near the site as this is a farming community. ​ Hopefully you will be able to recharge with lovely fresh air, long country walks and great Derbyshire hospitality. ​ Loud music is not allowed, no noise after 10pm and before 8am.

One Tent is allowed per pitch. The Tent Pitches can only accommodate 2-4 man tents.
Chemical Waste, fresh water, and grey disposal are available on site but not on the pitch. 

Bank holidays are a minimum 3-night stay.

£1 coin needed to use the shower. Portacabin is purpose-built with a shower and toilet. Temporary washing up facilities outside next to portacabin. No open fires. BBQ and firepits are allowed but they must be off the ground. Children must be supervised at all times. We ask that you please take your rubbish home with you as there are no recycling points on site. 

Management will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal belongings left unattended on these premises.

Greystones Nawab Camping and Touring is a small basic and friendly campsite in the middle of the beautiful Peak District countryside; completely rural, but only 15 minutes from the famous spa town of Buxton in Derbyshire. Relatively new on the campsite scene - Greystones nawab offers grassy pitches for 5 caravans /3 motorhomes and 10 tent pitches on well-tended land, surrounded by dry stone walls and mature trees and shrubs.

It is a pretty place, and the views from the campsite take some beating. Everyone is welcome here; it is family-friendly, motorcycle friendly and dog friendly and facilities include electric hooks-ups should you want it, outside a washing up area side of portacabin, showers and toilets are in purpose-built portacabin Right next door to the campsite there is a wonderful donkey sanctuary, so it is just a stroll away to go and say hello to these gentle animals.

This is a small basic site in the centre of peak park very scenic site is in a prime position for exploring all that the Peak District has to offer. For walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, Greystones nawab is very close to several excellent walks Monsal trail Tissington trail, many pretty little villages and cycling routes, and there are also opportunities for pony trekking, climbing and paragliding if you feel like experiencing something a bit different! The Peak District is a National Park, so if you want to plan your trip well, visit one of the excellent visitor centres that are set up to help you navigate around the many hills and trails in the area.

Aside from exploring the surrounding Peak District, Greystone is also close to several excellent family attractions. Take a magical journey underground at Poole’s Cavern - just a ten-minute drive away - and explore the huge limestone caverns which date back 2 million years. They also have a large park and picnic area with some lovely woodland trails to follow, and for those who like the high ropes - one of Go Apes highest adventure courses is here, with zip wires, aerial walkways and perilous bridges. And talking of perilous, Alton Towers is about 40 minutes away by car if you wanted a full day out of rollercoasters and excitement. Peak Wildlife Park is also nearby, allowing you to come face to face with several exotic and endangered animals. 

The thermal spa town of Buxton, with its Georgian and Victorian architecture, is a very popular destination in the area, as well as idyllic Bakewell, on the banks of the River Wye and close to Chatsworth House - one of Derbyshire’s most popular stately homes with its magnificent gardens.

You will certainly not be short of things to do here! Greystones nawab is a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day exploring the Peak District; it is quiet, tranquil and relaxing; ideal to kick back in a chair and watch the sun go down. If you fancy a night off the cooking there are several good pubs within walking distance offering excellent home-cooked food. 

As locations go, Greystone is a lovely spot, so make sure you leave enough time to explore all that the stunning Peak District has to offer. we also have a cafe next door please note toilets and showers are in a purpose-built portacabin and washing facilities are on outside of side portacabin.

Accessed via a gravelled farm track, unseen from the road, Burrs Farm stands independently and is surrounded by 20 acres of delightful farmland. Originally the Country Manor House of Chelmorton, it beams with endless character and sits in a rural, elevated position on the outskirts of Chelmorton, the highest village in Derbyshire. 

​Whilst Burrs Farm offers privacy and seclusion, it is only a short walk to the village and a short drive to the market towns of Buxton and Bakewell. It is a grand and traditional property full of warmth and character. A perfect place from which to explore the Peak District National Park.

New Colshaw is our detached self catering cottage set amongst spectacular Derbyshire scenery in a highly regarded location adjacent to the Glamping site. This rustic cottage sleeps 4 in a double room with a romantic four poster bed and a twin room, with a cot provided if needed. The rooms are all delightfully decorated, with Egyptian cotton bedding and gorgeous throws, and views of the rolling Derbyshire countryside that await your discovery.
The cottage has a ground floor boutique style bathroom with a glorious large roll top bath, flagged stone floor, and bare stone walls.
In the living room you will find a open coal/log fire to relax in front of after a day’s adventure.  A garden to the side of the cottage offers a seating area looking across the Dove Valley and Barbeque.

This attractive cottage is the perfect base for those who love to explore the great outdoors and adventures in the surrounding peaks. A network of packhorse bridges and further a field more popular walks and cycle trails such as Dovedale and The Old Maniford Trail beckon your call.

The cottage stairs are a traditional old style and are steeper than usual modern stairs so those who are less mobile may find them slightly unsuitable.

During the 1800's Shepherd huts were seen across the English countryside and were originally designed as accommodation during the lambing season, offering shelter for both the shepherd tending to his flocks and new born lambs.

Sheep Dreams Shepherds Hut is a bespoke hand crafted, spacious getaway that makes the most perfect romantic retreat. Sleeping two in a luxurious king size bed the hut offers its own kitchen area with a quaint Belfast sink and granite worktop so you can have some tea and toast without having to venture out.

A wood burner with logs supplied will keep you snug and warm why you lie down and listen to birdsong and the crackle of the kindling on the fire. Electric is in the hut and free Wi-Fi for those who should want to use it. Easy reach of the shared facilities and car parking.

All guests share 2 luxury shower rooms and one bathroom with gorgeous roll-top bath (basin and toilet in each room).

We want your stay to be as relaxing and hassle-free as possible so we provide little extras to make your stay an enjoyable one. We supply bed linen, towels, a welcome breakfast hamper, basic toiletries, logs and kindling for the stove, BBQ, and the kitchen is well equipped with a fridge freezer, oven, microwave, kettle and utensils. We also have a hairdryer and hair straighteners to use so there’s no need to panic about bad hair days!

Sheep Dreams Shepherds Hut

A gorgeous Lotus Belle Tent with magical fairy lights and a luxurious king size bed. Local breakfast hamper included. Wooden decking around the tent provides the ideal place to BBQ and enjoy the rolling hills around.


Our Belle tent is our new addition for 2020. The tent is the perfect place for two adults to get away from it all and enjoy the stunning Peak District National Park. The Belle Tent doesn't have a log burner so you will need to bring your fluffy throws with you. The bell tent has access to our lovely shared facilities block which has a gorgeous roll top bath to soak in, a huge shower and two proper flushing toilets! The facilities block is also home to a rustic kitchen area with a American style fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, and cooker. The bell tent has a king size bed and Egyptian cotton linen and towels, and solar powered fairy lights make in a magical fairytale den to escape to. There is also outdoor seating and BBQ to enjoy our dark skies at night. We provide a breakfast hamper with local baked bread, free range eggs, local dairy milk, bacon from the local butchers and jam too.

Make everyday count in our Sunrise Yurt. Wake up in a king size bed under the warmth of a feather down duvet, with birdsong and the crackle of the wood-burner the background music to your relaxation.

Sunrise Yurt provides a king-size bed and two double futons for extra guests. It's an eco-friendly haven with no electric but solar powered fairy lights that give you a shimmering welcome.

Our yurts are handcrafted and have steam bent ash beams and a unique large clear round crown top, allowing you to stargaze out from the king size bed. A clear window also allows you to gaze down the valley from inside, or sit out your yurt enjoying barbecues and toasting marshmallows around the fire.

They have been carefully designed to ensure you have everything you need for your escape from Egyptian cotton bedding, sheepskin rugs, a breakfast hamper on arrival, logs for the woo-burner, to board games for some old fashion fun! Rest up ready for more adventure in the rugged hills of Derbyshire!

Newly opened in 2018, you would think the family here had been running this superb glamping site for years and years.  John and Pam and their family work together to make a wonderfully welcome and frankly seriously luxurious place to stay, in one of the most breathtaking parts of the country - the Peak District National Park.  A dairy farm at its core, the family have put their heart and soul into creating a place of tranquil beauty, and this glamping site is an absolute stunner.  Two yurts and a shepherds hut make up the small but beautifully formed glampsite on the farm (they also have a holiday cottage) and they are each positioned to make the most of the enviable views across the rolling hills of the Peaks, nestled into one of the farms large meadows, surrounded by dry stone walls.
It is luxurious living here.  The two handcrafted yurts are kitted out with king size beds, sumptuous bedding, sheepskin rugs, a woodburner with logs, solar powered fairy lights and a clear crown top, perfect for stargazing on clear nights.  The romantic and aptly named Sheep Dreams Shepherds hut is equally as beautifully furnished - tasteful and unfussy - also with a king size bed and a wood burner, it also has electricity and wifi if you feel an urge to connect with the outside world (you won’t), and its own kitchenette, with an old fashioned belfast sink, granite worktop, kettle and toaster.  The hut and the two yurts share the BBQ and outdoor seating and picnic areas, and because of the small size, it never feels crowded.

The luxury facilities don’t stop there.  The old sheep gathering building has been revamped and now houses a beautiful suite of washrooms, with large showers, a roll top bath, luxury toilets and thankfully, not a ewe in sight.  Again, it is furnished to a very high level with eyypian cotton towels, handmade oak basins, LED mirrors and high quality toiletries.  This really is no ordinary glamping site.  There is a communal area with all the equipment you need to whip up a full English (and beyond); a welcome breakfast hamper is provided so no excuses not to swing into action in the rustic kitchen.  Kick back on the veranda with stunning views across the Dove Valley - not a bad place to fully appreciate your morning cuppa and bacon sandwich.

Once fed, get your boots on.  The hiking trails lead right from the door at Peak Glamping Hideaway; you are high up in the Peaks (very high actually, the nearby village of Flash is the highest village in England) and the scenery is stunning.  There are a network of old pack horse trails surrounding the farm just waiting to be explored.  Foot or bike is possibly the best way to get to know this stunning National Park, and from your yurt or hut you are in prime position to access some of the best; the Monsal trail, Manifold Trail, Tissington Trail and the Heights of Abraham.  Also nearby is the beautiful spa town of Buxton, the market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and the stunning show caves at Pooles Cavern.  And if all that isn’t enough, Alton Towers is just down the road for a day (or two) of stomach churning hysteria.  There is a vast amount to do here and Peak Glamping Hideaway is the absolute perfect place (both location wise and comfort wise!) to make your holiday a wonderfully relaxing break and somewhere to make great memories.

Fern Shepherd's Hut (No Dogs Allowed)

Our hill farm is located above the River Dove near the pretty hamlet of Milldale in the heart of the Peak District

You will see various areas of planted woodland, the newest being planted 13 years ago. It is on the edge of this woodland where we chose to site Lily and Fern our shepherd huts, allowing guests the best experience of being close to nature.( Lily is our pet friendly shepherd hut, no extra fee for bringing your dog)
Once the living accommodation of a shepherd, our huts now provide a more romantic, rustic and relaxing way to spend a holiday.
Each shepherd hut has a built in double bed with comfy matress & pretty linens, a wood burning stove for those cooler days nights to keep you warm& toasty, a camping gas stove to cook simple meals and all basic pots, pans & crockery. If you dont want to do all the cooking a an optional breakfast hamper can be delivered to your door to set you up for a days walking.
The toilet & showers are just a short stroll 20 metres from the huts through the apple orchard in to the Old Dairy.
Our farm is perfectly situated for walking & cycling with foot paths abound in all directions, Dovedale, Tissington Trail & Manifold all close by. With many visitors attraction within easy reach  such as Alton Towers, Heights of Abrahmn, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, The caverns Speedwell & Poole to name but a few there is something for everyone to enjoy. 
The market towns Ashbourne , Bakewell & Leek & spa towns of Buxton & Matlock are in a 16 mile radius.

If the key components of your break in the Peak District National are a) easy access to walks; and b) easy access to a good post-walk pint, then you’ll probably be most pleased with the location of Yew Tree Farm Touring.

What three words location is martini.taking.manly.
The field is located opposite the village toilets. 

This Derbyshire touring site is on the edge of the village of Wetton, opposite the village car park, which functions as the start point for several walking routes. That means that once you’ve parked your van you can simply set out on foot to get to Thor’s Cave, meander along the Manifold Way or find various other ways to soak up some of the scenery. If you don’t mind a little bit of a drive, the likes of Dovedale and the Heights of Abraham can be on the schedule too.

Wherever you end up, (even if it’s Alton Towers, which is also nearby) you’ll be able to finish the day with a well-earned drink at the local pub, which is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the site. The village also has a tea room that’s open at weekends if a piece of cake and a cuppa is more your style. For dinner, you may like to bring along a barbecue and load it up with supplies from shops in Ashbourne (20 minutes’ drive).

Touring pitches are set up in a five-acre field, so there’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out and have a bit of peace. Chemical toilet disposal is available on site and although there are no toilets on site there are public loos in the car park next door.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
No charcoal barbecues allowed.
There is no reception on-site: on arrival please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.

We offer a unique ‘back to basics’ camping experience on our working farm in Derbyshire. Our limited facilities are offset by the panoramic views of the Peak District and stunning sunsets to the west.

-   No fixed pitches; campers use a selection of fields dependent on livestock grazing and haymaking.
-    No electricity hook-up; enjoy the sounds of the countryside without your hair-dryer or DAB radio.
-    No hot water or showers for campers; mains drinking water taps on bright blue pipes are available in the fields for your use.
-    Environmentally friendly; compost toilets and long-drops facilities.
-    We allow campfires; provided no damage to the ground is caused, i.e the fire is on a fire pan, brazier or BBQ. We have handmade fire pan’s available for use free of charge.
-    Large log bags; available to buy for £5 a bag, one bag will last three-four hours burning, or bring your own! (no nails please)
-    Well-behaved dogs; are allowed by arrangement. We have free-range livestock including lambs and poultry, so dogs must be kept under close control at all times.

Situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park, the land on which New House Farm stands has a rich and exciting history. People have worked this land from prehistoric times, leaving many traces visible on the farm. This sense of history gives the farm a remarkable atmosphere that is almost timeless.

We are a working organic family farm offering a ‘back to basics camping experience - and now have 2 gorgeous handmade yurts. Our limited facilities are offset by the panoramic views of the Peak District National Park and stunning sunsets to the west.

We have 2 unique eco-yurt stays, both come fully equipped with comfy beds, log burners, furniture, equipped kitchen with stove, cooking ware and drinking water sink,  solar lighting, outdoor standing BBQ, large circle fire pit and a compost loo and hot shower! We hope to have our homemade log burning sauna ready for Autumn 2022.

Basic camping at New House Farm means cold water, compost loos, no showers, and meeting the very free-range animals and poultry. No electricity hook-up, enjoy the sounds of the countryside without your hair dryer or DAB radio.

At New House Farm we care about food production. We’re concerned about animal welfare. We’re passionate about preserving the environment around us and creating a sustainable industry, and we understand the important link between the food we eat and our health. Our organic produce includes beef and lamb, plus pork products from a local farm. We can also supply salad in season from the farm. Our very free-range chickens roost in the sycamore tree in the garden and lay fabulous eggs - we also sell our duck and goose eggs in season.

Conservation is important. We have wildflower meadows, ancient pasture land with ridge and furrow, newly planted woodland and hedgerows, a new pond, willow beds.

We have also put together an archaeology trail with an accompanying guide book that you can use on your visit to explore the land in more detail and 'read the landscape' to discover over 4000 years of human activity.

NOTES The yurts came as a unit, and the prices do not change according to capacity, whether you are 1 or 6, the price is the same. However, for camping we charge per person per night: £10 for adults, £4 for children. (No charge for children under 3 years old.) Fire pits are provided free of charge, and wood is available to purchase. Fresh produce is available from the farm shop

Haddy’s Hut is a spacious, airy and bright bespoke handcrafted shepherd’s hut designed and built to a high standard benefitting from modern day comforts including a warming wood burning stove, en-suite bathroom with fluffy towels, handmade fully equipped kitchen with full size hob and a single oven with grill, comfy patio furniture where you can read the paper or your favourite book and if it becomes chilly light the fire pit.

Bottom Barn - Group Booking 

Padwick Farm was built in 1848 of lovely mottled pink sandstone. Leek Camping Barns accommodation was once the traditional cowsheds that until recently housed milking jersey cows.

Offering an affordable escape from pitching a tent and the Great British weather. On the outskirts of the historic market town of Leek but opening onto beautiful views across open countryside to Bradnop and Morridge where you can enjoy your camping experience.

Being on the edge of town you do get the best of both worlds – the countryside and the market town with real ale pubs, characterful independent shops, cafes and supermarkets to replenish your provisions.

The Bottom barn sleeps 8 people (4 double bays) at £70pn and the Top barn 7 people (3 double and 1 single bays) at £60pn on wooden platforms with foam mattresses. Bring your own warm sleeping bags and pillows. Single night stays or more.                                       Serendipity Shepherd Hut. An off grid hut for one or two people, minimum three nights.

Please follow camping etiquette (no parties/events, noise or noisy guests, quiet between 11pm & 7am, no campfires after 11pm) and countryside code to enhance everyone’s stay. Rustic and basic for hardy campers who are prepared for all seasons .

Leek Camping Barns

Great little Peak District Campsite on the edge of a picturesque White Peak Village
Ideally located 4 mins walk from a great village pub and a wonderful cafe, both on the Village Green, just handy for the campsite.

Dozens of fantastic walks lead directly from the campsite. You can choose to walk through the droving lanes of the village, up onto the moors, the Tissington Trail to the cycle hire or venture down the breathtaking Lathkill Dale, a national nature reserve that follows the Limestone Gorge to the east of the village.

A family farm ice cream parlour is on the edge of the village along with other eateries and a local fuel station. Close by we have other small village shops and many wonderful farm shops.


Loud music is not allowed, no noise after 10pm and before 8am.

Bakewell Old House museum is a Tudor that is quirky house big spaces and dark corners to explore. Stick to the RAT trail from space to room and discover ratty that is amazing.  You will want to take to the Find Mr Plants sheep path, which will be free of Bakewell information centre and get 1 son or daughter that is free ticket to your museum. There clearly was a great deal to see for young ones and parents too! Time travel to yesteryear with putting on a costume costumes, a Victorian dolls household, free colouring sheets and periodic craft tasks. Discover a Tudor bathroom and privy that is victorian. Enjoy old games that are fashioned the courtyard, and read about Philus the Bakewell elephant!

Bakewell Old House Museum

Bakewell Recreation Ground is a park addressing simply over 5 hectares of space and is extremely popular with families attempting to walk, play, cycle, picnic, fly kites or keep cool within the summer time!The park has a contemporary and recently upgraded play area splash that is including for water based fun in the summer time so do not forget to simply take towels in the event that climate is nice! The play that is damp is available 1 April to 1 September and available 1 week a week 10am to 5pm with a single hour break, which is generally between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.Plus there's space for the conventional household games for the varying age varies: catch, frisbee, kite flying or other things you'll think of!There are also 2 soccer pitches, 2 croquet yards, a cricket square, a multi-use games area, and a pavilion: lots of techniques to enjoy the area if you book ahead to make use of the facilities. Or even, just be sure to have bats, balls, frisbees or whatever family's favourite game that is outdoor in the kit case. Covered!There are loos here but easy people, the primary toilets in Bakewell are located in the town centre on Granby Road opposite the police place and people baby that is include facilities and disabled toilets. Handily you are only a minutes which can be few walk from the city to ensure's alright then!
