Situated between the beautiful coast and rolling South Downs, just down the coast from Brighton, Eastbourne is a lovely old-fashioned seaside town with bags of charm. It boasts long, pristine beaches and one of the finest examples of a Victorian pier in England - which is fully open for business again after closing following due to fire damage in 2014. It has a variety of shops, bars, cafes and it is well worth the walk just for the fantastic views across the English Channel. Eastbourne is full of things to see and do and there is something here for everyone; theme parks, zoos, parks and gardens, walks, local markets and fun-filled trips to the seaside.
