Luton is a large town in Bedfordshire and easily accessible to London in under 30 minutes by train. The surrounding countryside is very pretty - the town is just below the lovely landscapes of the Chiltern Hills. It is also home to the excellent Whipsnade safari park which is well worth a visit.
