Situated in the county of Norfolk, Norwich is considered the most complete medieval city in the UK. The cobbled streets, numerous churches and Georgian architecture have remained unchanged for centuries; wander around the wonderfully haphazard streets and explore the City Hall's clock tower and the stunning 12th century Cathedral. There is the huge brightly coloured outdoor covered Market to browse around, home to over 200 stalls; the market has been present and trading since the 11th Century and is still going strong, open every day apart from Sunday.
In terms of attractions and experiences there is lots to do here for all the family. Nearby there is a Dinosaur themed adventure park, a fantastic treehouse adventure playground, Pirate adventure golf and lots of museums and galleries. Or visit Norwich Castle, one of the city's most famous landmarks which was built 900 years ago and is now home to a museum and art gallery; packed full of works of art, archeological finds and natural history items from the Norwich region.
A great base for exploring all Norfolk has to offer, don't miss out on this wonderfully historic town.
