Surrey is one of the Home Counties and located in the South east of England, bordering Greater London. Despite its proximity to London, Surrey is the most wooded county in Great Britain, with larges areas of mature woodland. Beauty spots include Box Hill, Leith Hill, Frensham Ponds and Puttenham Common.
A large part of Surrey is the "Green Belt" and the rolling hills of the North Downs; there are also beautiful gardens to visit - the Royal Horticultural Society's Garden Wisley is situated just outside the M25.
The largest town in Surrey is Guildford, with Woking a close second.
