Woolacombe is all about the beach.....and this one is seriously stunning; in fact, it was voted the 6th best beach in Europe at the TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Awards 2020. It's a huge family favourite - attracting thousands of people every year to dip their toes (or surfboards) in the stunning Atlantic waters. If this sounds packed, don't worry, the town is more than set up for this in terms of parking and access, and the sheer length of the beach means it is always possible to find a quieter spot to do some serious sandcastle engineering.
