Oak tent

For those of you that have your own equipment, we have seven oversize camping pitches spread around the meadow. They are mown into the meadow grass, each one atleast 14 metres diameter with a minimum of 10 metres between pitches. Each pitch has its own clean compost toilet, firepit and campgrill. Norwich is a half hour drive (20 miles) away, with The Norfolk Broads stretching towards the coast just beyond the city. Thetford Forest Park is 20 miles in the other direction. The closest beaches are an hour away and the North Norfolk Coast, a little more.

Food & Drink
There’s an honesty shop with the basics on site and you couldn’t get much closer to the nearest farm shop; Rookery Meadows, just across the field and offering all sorts of local produce including breakfast boxes with everything you need for a full English.

For a meal or drink out, you can walk to The Crown in Great Ellingham a mile away. Or perhaps try The White Hart in Hingham or The Mulberry Tree White Lodge or Breckland Lodge in Attleborough. All are within five miles of site.

Step inside our  Shepherds Hut and warm yourself by the crackling fire! This cosy hut sleeps up to three on a double bed and single bunk bed. The beds are supplied with 100% cotton sheets, pillow cases and duvet cover.
You have exclusive use of a handmade composting toilet with a stable door and view of the neighbouring field. 
The hut has a real vintage charm, but also has plenty of modern conveniences: its eco-friendly hidden solar panel runs a set of lights, and even has a usb sockets to charge your phone. The authentic  wood burning stove is a gorgeous addition, keeping the hut snug at night and can also be used to heat a camping kettle.
There is a gas cooker and sink with a cold tap.
Outside you'll have a picnic bench with parasol and a fire bowl with removable cooking grill.
When the sun goes down and you are snuggled up in front of a glowing fire, staying in a field doesn't get much better than this.

The Tinkers Hut

Wardley Hill Campsite is an ecological family owned campsite in the Waveney Valley. Wild flowers and grass are left to grow to encourage butterflies and bees. The long grass surrounds lush mown unregimented camping spots for you to choose, some secluded and others big enough to fit several families.  Small campervans are also welcome to stay with us in their own area. Campervans must be a similar size to a Volkeswagon Transporter and we do not offer any electric hook up or liquid waste disposal point.

The Hammock Hut is equipped with a small gas stove, mugs and complimentary tea and coffee.
