The Keep Military Museum

The Keep Military Museum is a landmark that is striking the Bridport path in Dorchester. Finished in 1879, it had been designed to resemble a Norman Castle, and is built of Portland rock, which provides it a appearance that is white. The museum exists to present and protect the last history and artefacts associated with Regiments of Devonshire and Dorset whilst promoting inspiration, and learning. The tales associated with soldiers and their families on display over three floors would be the weapons, medals not to mention. There are a variety of exhibitions, computer and presentations which are electronic over 3 hundred years of the real history of soldiers who have offered in the regiments of Devon and Dorset. You may get a good view over Dorchester from the roof of the West Tower, but be warned, it's 20 meters above road level if you while the kids have actually a head for levels! There was wheelchair access to all display floors by lift.
