We regret that due to the rural geography of the site, including some slopes, it may not currently be suitable for persons with mobility restrictions, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss.

We have surfboards for all ages and abilities. They are all brand new and come in 7ft and 8ft. We use good quality wetsuits which we sourced from local company c-skins and are all new for 2019. Our bodyboards are all slick bottomed and are ideal for beginners as well as someone who wants to progress.

ABOUT US
One to one surf was created in 2018 by Simon Adams. 

Cornwall has many surf schools but here at one to one we believe that we can offer the most unique experience with over 25 years personal surfing experience and heading up some of Cornwall's biggest surf schools working as an instructor for over 16 years. Simon also works very closely with Watergate Bay surf lifesaving club as a coach, training the beach lifeguards of the future and developing their sea skills, knowledge and fitness.


We specialise in individuals and small groups. It's a much more personable experience and this way you get quality time with the instructor meaning better progression.



 All our coaches hold beach lifeguard awards along with an ISA surf coach award and disclosure checks (DBS/CRB) so you can rest assured you're in safe hands. 

Simon is a registered surf coach with Surfing England, the national governing body for surfing.



Our local beach, Watergate Bay, Offers waves for everyone with a 3km stretch of sand at low tide, there's plenty of room to find quiet peaks to make the most of your private lesson.



We have a selection of surfboards suitable for beginners to more advanced level surfers and will ensure we give you the best equipment to put you on the right path to a successful surfing session and beyond.

Were based at beautiful Watergate Bay in Newquay, Cornwall, which is home to miles of golden sand and endless waves. With our purpose built luxury surf van we can follow the swell and take you to the best waves for your lesson.

The surf van is loaded with top-of-the-range surfboards, custom designed for every level of rider, ensuring you have the best board to help you progress your skills in the water.

All our students are given professional surf kit, including high-tech ONeill wetsuits, boots, hoods and gloves  keeping you warm and comfortable in the water all year round.

BEGINNER SURF LESSONS
If you want to experience the surf for the first time, or youre still getting to grips with the basics, join us for a two hour group lesson and start progressing your surfing skills.

Learn to surf in Mawgan Porth
Mawgan Porth is similar to many Cornish beaches with consistent surf throughout the tide. We have the freedom to surf at a number of beaches close by, which allows students a more enjoyable learning experience.

Students like to catch as many waves as possible to improve and the North Cornwall coast rarely suffers from a lack of waves. Therefore more waves for you to practice on, resulting in more success and fun!

Head coach Nick Tiscoe started The Surf Club Cornwall In 2006. Nick is a professional pro surfer, who has competed internationally. And he is a father to a keen surfing family too! Nick and his team look to share their experience to help you, your family or friends develop your surfing. 

All instructors are ISA qualified as well as qualified beach lifeguards.

Qualified, insured instructors will look after you in the water allowing you to concentrate on enjoying yourself. All instructors are very experienced surfers, teaching hundreds of individuals and families to surf each year. Having spent the majority of their lives surfing in Cornwall they can help you get the best out of your surfing experience.

Our base offers warm, dry changing facilities and is ideally situated opposite our own privately licensed beach  guaranteeing uncrowded perfection in a unique, unspoiled location.

Hang ten or hang out at Lusty Glaze Beach. This privately owned beach had all kinds of summer fun, from swimming to abseiling. What exactly have you been waiting for? Surf's up! The coastline is a location that is protected swimmers and well suited for getting those perfect waves.Their adventure centre offers up jet skiing, abseiling and kid's favourite, banana ships! Plus if you are not a surfer that is seasoned sign up for lessons which are open to eight years or over. Each one is watched over by a group that is qualified of so you can enjoy the day without a care.There's no need to get your hair damp: enjoy a spot of volleyball, soccer or grab some brand new recruits for a casino game of dodgeball. Then there's the Terror Tight line course across the cliffs. You'll receive stunning views of the sea, just don't look down! The coastline will be a location that is lovely build sandcastles because of the little ones or sit within the cafi, and visitors are welcome to bring their dogs, as long as they stay on leads during the summertime.
