Our getaway is a few minutes walk to the Abbey and glorious Pittencrieff Park with its tame squirrels and peacocks, woodland walks, huge childrens' play parks, glasshouses, and historic monuments. it is Ideally situated for walking the Fife Pilgrim Way, and for visiting the string of picturesque fishing villages and beaches along the Fife Coastal Path. It is accessible by train or bus to the lively cosmopolitan city of Edinburgh featuring its magnificent castle on the hill, museums, galleries, theatres, and posh stores. Visit Stirling again with an ancient castle on the hill. We are just a few miles to medieval Culross a favourite film location, (eg Outlander). Take a boat trip to Loch Leven Castle where Mary Queen of Scots ended up being imprisoned, or across the Forth to May Island of Inchcolm Abbey. With lots of golf clubs in Fife that welcome visitors is also great for golfing holidays.
