Reen Cross Campsite is a family-friendly park, welcoming families and couples only (and dogs, as long as they're well-behaved types and are kept on leads at all times while on site, ta). Pitches are large and well spaced out, on a flat camping field of around three acres, so there's plenty of room for the kids – and grownups – to play.

Among the amenities are chemical disposal and facilities for ice pack freezing; new shower, toilet and laundry/washing-up facilities were added in 2017. Barbecues are allowed if raised off the ground.

The site has far reaching views over the surrounding countryside. Perranporth is one and a half miles away with its selection of shops, pubs and restaraunts. The beach is a fabulous three miles of golden sands. Facing west this provides some spectacular sunsets. Best combined with your favourate tipple at the Watering Hole Beach Bar. The beach is patrolled by life guards in the summer season and is dog friendly. The village of Goonhavern is half a mile with a shop and post office. There is also a pub with a very good restaurant, garden center with Bay Tree Restaraunt and a childrens play park. 
On site there is also a laundry room and play area with space to play or relax. 
Reen Cross benifits from its proximity to the local foot path & bridleway network so there are plenty of countryside walks on hand. Many lead you to the coastal path or Perranporth and all thats on offer.
A great choice as a base to explore the delights of Cornwall.

What we do different to other schools
Well we only take out small groups (max 10) as large lessons just dont work , also we try and get similar ages and abilities going on the same lesson. Keeping your surfboard and wetsuit for the afternoon really help you progress.

Single Surf Lesson

1.Introduction and Warm Up

In the first part of your surf lesson you will learn about the equipment and essential information about how to stay safe in the surf. We then run through a surfing specific warm up stretching out key muscle groups to help you get the most out of your body for the surf. The warm up helps to reduce the risk of sprains, and help your muscles recover quicker, ready for your next surf

2.Prone Surfing

Getting out through the surf and managing you surfboard in the water, positioning on your surfboard and basic control and whilst lying are all covered in the second part of your surf lesson. You will also learn about which waves to go for and which ones are best to avoid, which can often make or break a surfing experience.

 
3.Getting to your feet.

We go through a couple of methods of getting to your feet once you have got the hang of prone surfing. You find out which one suits you best on the beach then get the hang of it on the waves.

A single lesson could also be tailored to your own surfing needs, with small groups our professional instructors can differentiate the lesson to ensure you get the tuition that best suits your level of surfing.
