Set on a small working beef and sheep farm, Constance Farm Campsite enjoys picturesque views of the High Weald. Just a short drive from Crowborough, East Grinstead and Tunbridge Wells, this small scale site is ideally placed to explore the outdoors. With back to basics facilities and a friendly atmosphere, the tent camping field welcomes families and couples yet there's also a dedicated glamping bell tent area

Pitches are well spaced and are set on a tent camping field suitable for families and couples. Looking for a romantic getaway? Rest up in one of two bell tents, situated in their own area and catering exclusively for two.

Fire pit hire available and logs can be bought onsite. Make the most of the clear skies here too and spend the night stargazing.

Constance Farm Camping

Knole offers incredible views on the highest raised platform of all the domes and comes with a wood-fired hot tub that is situated on a separate private decked area, complete with a roof covering. The tub has air and water jets for your comfort. Knole is the closest Dome to the main house, however, the area is surrounded by shrubs giving privacy. Please note pets are not permitted in this dome.

Chartwell overlooks an amazing view to the south of the site. It is elevated along the front giving a floating feel when inside the dome. It is nestled on the side of the site amongst wild grassland with woodland along one side. Chartwell also has a private open-air hot tub situated on a connected deck area.

Hever is our most private Dome onsite as it is tucked into woodlands that were partially cleared to allow for the area to be surrounded on 2 sides with the 3rd facing a private field. The terrace is still open on one side to grass plains and catches the sun perfectly. The Dome looks directly onto the field with a level view. This dome is our only pet-friendly dome.

Hever

Located on the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Hoath House sits overlooking the border between Kent and Sussex within a minute drive to multiple tourist destinations as well as award winning pubs & restaurants. Brimming with history, the oldest part of the house is the Tudor Wing, which was originally a medieval hall house dating back to 1350. The site is spread across 20 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland.

Each dome has been placed in a well-thought-out location on the site to allow privacy along with amazing picturesque countryside views of what is known as the Garden of England. The domes are spaced over 100 meters apart and are surrounded by natural grass plains and woodland allowing our guests to unwind in a calm and peaceful environment, situated amongst nature and wildlife.

The domes are self-catering, although they offer a level of comfortable luxury that you would typically find in a high-end hotel, whilst staying in touch with our core roots of offering a unique boutique glamping experience. The experience has been designed to be in keeping with the site, history and rural surroundings.

Each private accommodation boasts a bespoke raised decking area with a variety of dining and lounge seating which is gently lit in the evening.

Inside your dome, you will be invited by a spacious but cosy, relaxed area with a kitchenette, dressing area with storage, dining area, luxury beds and the most comfortable bean bag lounger.

The domes are functional all year round and the seasons offer such unique experiences of our glamping site, all whilst being able to gaze out at the beautiful views and wildlife. Summer may find you relaxing out on your private decking area, having a drink or BBQ and soaking up the sun or even venturing to a local pub garden. Whilst in the winter we have no doubt that you'll enjoy the warmth and comfort of our log burner.

Please note that only Hever Dome is pet friendly and also this dome does NOT have a hot tub. If booking a pet, please select the option whilst on our booking page.
Knole Dome has a covered wooden fired hot tub on a separate raised decking whilst Chartwell Dome has an open-air wooden fired hot tub that is on a connected raised decking. Both hot tubs have air and water jets.

As we live on a working farm, gates have to be locked at night. Entrance will be via a coded lock. We will provide you with a code and request that the gate be shut and locked outside of trading hours (8am-6pm).

Campfires are allowed on raised platforms, away from tents or any structures. Bags of logs are on sale for £6 each and kindling for £1.50. A limited number of braziers are available to borrow. We do log drops daily, so sit back and we will bring them right to your pitch. 

Pitch selection is subject to availability. We do not currently allocate pitches, however, in busy times, we may need to allocate areas to accommodate all bookings.

Please dispose of rubbish in the purple bins, located outside of the Farm Field toilet block. All rubbish must be bagged before disposal.

**Come camping in the Garden of England. Explore the Kentish countryside on some stunning walks, visit award-winning local attractions or chill by the campfire, under the stars.**

Hever Camping is a family run campsite, managed by sisters, Sarah and Gina, who also live on the farm, with their families.

Located in West Kent, access is an easy distance from London, with a direct train service from London Bridge.

Cowden station is a 20 minute walk along country lanes from the camping field. By car, the campsite is conveniently situated a 20-30 minute drive from junctions 5 & 6 of the M25 & 30-40 minutes from Gatwick airport.

Hever Camping has some fantastic local attractions within walking distance.

Located at Wilderness Farm, the campsite was originally an estate farm for Hever Castle, providing milk from their dairy herd for the estate for many years.

The Dairy herd has been gone for many years now, replaced with arable farming, an agricultural business and field rentals for livestock and events.

Farmed by the family since 1919, a century has passed since venturing into this beautiful piece of the Garden of England.

**FISHING**

Our well stocked fishing lake contains Carp, Roach and an illusive Catfish!

There are 6 swims to fish from that cater for anything from tiddler bashing family fun, to the most passionate and relentless of fishermen.

Just to wet your appetite…The size of the carp goes well into double figures.

As the name suggests, the Pond Field is right next to the fishing area, so why not pitch a tent and enjoy the tranquil setting, ensuring peace and serenity in this beautiful fishing spot (Camping at additional cost).

Campers have 2 fields to choose from:

**Farm Field**- Hot water is available in the toilet cabin, with a large sink for washing up and showers.

**Pond Field**- There is a toilet block with cold water sinks and outside basins for washing up.

There is no electric in either field.

Quiet hours must be respected between 11pm and 7am

Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.

Hever Camping

Book a stay in one of our woodland log cabin hires if you are looking to escape the liveliness of the city, and spend some time relaxing in the beautiful Sussex forests.

This gothic-themed cabin was built with love and great attention to detail. The cabin is clad inside and out in western red cedar. The terracotta colour of the tin roof and slowly greying red cedar cladding allow the cabin to blend seamlessly into the ancient woodland. The perfect cabin hire for a woodland retreat in Sussex.

The double sleeping area is located up on the mezzanine level (n.b. max headroom 1250mm) which can be accessed via a sturdy ladder. In the open-plan living area, there is also a comfortable double sofa bed, allowing up to 4 guests to enjoy this Sussex cabin hire. 

The living area also includes a wood burning stove, and it is highly insulated with double glazing, allowing you to have a warm and comfortable stay with us.

The cabin hire’s kitchen/diner area is fully equipped with all the necessary pots, pans, cutlery and crockery that you should need. There is also a large refectory table, beautiful antique chairs and an old church pew. The gothic theme is also reflected in the many antique carvings, tapestry and oil paintings that cover the walls. 

Outside there is a generous 2m veranda which offers a covered deck space with table and comfortable wooden chairs and cushions for outdoor eating. There is a heavy grill that can be placed on the fire to barbeque food and charcoal can be purchased from the Forest Garden shop.

Anderida Cabin hire is located approx. 180m from the shower/WC/washing up area.  The shared shower/loo and washing up facilities consist of 2 x separate showers, 2 x WC's and handbasin and 2 x outdoor double washing up sinks and are located beside the car park.

The Orinoco Cabin hire is situated on the edge of the woodland, with far reaching views of open pasture and forest beyond.  The coppiced hazel understory beneath the trees creates a secluded corner of the ancient woodland which is teeming in wildlife and covered in woodland wildflowers.

Additionally, a toasty woodburner and double glazing will ensure you stay nice and warm. We also provide tea lights and lanterns to create a beautiful and romantic atmosphere if you are visiting our Sussex holiday cabin as a couple. 

The cabin hire also includes a kitchen/dining area with twin gas burner. The cupboards and large old pine dresser contain all the necessary pots, pans, cutlery and crockery that you should need.

Outside you will find a veranda which offers a covered deck space with a large picnic table for outdoor eating. There is a heavy grill that can be placed on the fire pit to barbeque food - charcoal can be purchased from the Forest Garden shop.

Orinoco is located approximately 60m from the shower/WC/washing up area.  The shared shower/loo and washing up facilities consist of 2 x separate showers, 2 x WC's and handbasin and 2 x outdoor double washing up sinks and are located beside the car park.

Orinoco Cabin

It’s always great to spend some time away from the city in some of Britain’s most beautiful natural forests. If you’re looking for a woodland getaway in Sussex, our yurt hires are a unique way to sleep under the stars with the utmost level of comfort. 

The Kushti Yurt hire is inspired by traditional Mongolian 'Ger' (aka yurt) with beautiful hand painted roof poles, pillars and door. There are many colourful ethnic textiles and carpets which adorn the walls and floors which give the unique yurts its ‘good vibes’ as described by the previous owner! 

The many lovely comments in our guest book reflect this. We’ve had many wedding proposals and honeymooners in this very special Sussex woodland yurt hire!

There is also something deeply peaceful and meditative about our Kushti yurt hire. It is a magical space and occasionally you may see a deer or a rabbit enjoying the Sussex woodland.

Inside there is a kitchen area with double gas ring camping stove with everything you will need to cook and prepare any food.

The bed is a comfortable double futon, decorated with several colourful cushions. There is also additional seating in the form of hand carved stools, and a double futon sofa in beside the wood-burner. To the side of the yurt is a small table and chairs so that you can enjoy cosy inside eating on cold evenings. 

Outside the yurt hire, there is a large picnic table and log stools along with an open fire pit with grill if you wish to cook under the stars!  Kiln dried logs can be purchased for the Forest Garden shop.

Kushti Yurt

If you are looking for a way to escape from city life, and spend some quality time in the forest with loved ones, our log cabin hires in Sussex are a great way to take a break from the everyday. 

The Jacaranda Cabin hire is perfect for woodland retreats and exploring the natural forests in Sussex. The hand-built log cabin is nestled amongst the old iron pits in the ancient woodland. This part of the woodland is carpeted in bluebells, orchids and wild garlic in the spring.

Downstairs is an open plan living room area with a lovely wood burning stove.

The log cabin hire is highly insulated and has double glazing, so you be able to enjoy a pleasurable cosy stay. There are many tea lights and lanterns provided to create a beautiful and romantic atmosphere. 

Outside there is a wooden veranda which offers a covered deck space with an antique French table and chairs for outdoor eating. A large open outdoor fire-pit and grill are outside the log cabin. Jacaranda Cabin

If you’re looking for a relaxing woodland getaway, to spend some quality time with people you love away from busy city life, hiring one of our Sussex log cabins are the perfect way to unwind. 

The Idaho Cabin hire was hand built using western red cedar which still emits the beautiful and relaxing phytoncides (wood essential oils). There is much attention to detail in the construction of the cabin and the beautiful hand-built furniture inside. A beautiful way to enjoy the natural woodlands of Sussex.

Kindling can be collected from the woodland floor and you can either bring your own kiln dried logs or buy them from the Forest Garden shop.

The kitchen diner is well equipped with all the pots, pans, cutlery and crockery you will need, alongside a large cedar table, bench and banquette (seat) which pulls out to take a double futon mattress for an additional 2 guests.

Outside there is a wide veranda which offers a covered deck space with table and benches for outdoor eating. A large open outdoor fire-pit with oak benches and large log stools are outside the cabin. There is a grill that can be placed on the fire to barbeque food.

Idaho Cabin

If you’re looking for a unique way to spend time away from the city, and breathe in some fresh country air, book a Sussex woodland getaway and hire one of our comfortable yurts to come and relax in.

Savannah yurt hire was made by a highly experienced traditional yurt maker using locally sourced coppiced ash, hazel and chestnut. The feeling as you walk in to the yurt hire is one of size and openness, whilst still retaining the intimate warmth of a handmade yurt. 

Each of the luxury yurt hires are nestled in their own corner of secluded woodland offering guests privacy and tranquillity. Dappled light and abundance of flora and fauna help create the perfect sanctuary.

 Facilities:

The style of Savannah yurt hire is ‘Out of Africa’ with big leopard print throws and sheepskin rugs. There is a large double futon bed under an antique tribal carved headboard. 

There is also a double futon sofa that can pulled into a double bed, and another single futon sofa-bed. (n.b. for the 5th person, additional person and bedding charges apply, see extras).

The kitchen area comprises of a worktop surface with twin gas camping stove. All the utensils you need to cook and eat with are stowed in the large cupboard below. 

There is an antique Moroccan table and matching stools to eat inside the yurt, and a couple of comfortable reclining chairs and handmade stools for sitting in front of the toasty wood-burner. 

Outside the yurt hire is a large decked area to sit out and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your woodland getaway. There’s a big picnic table below the deck and beside the large fire-pit with grill for outdoor cooking.  Guests can bring their own kiln dried wood or purchase locally produced charcoal and kiln dried logs from the Forest Garden shop.

The Savannah yurt hire is located approx 150m from the shower/WC/washing up area. 

The shared shower/loo and washing up facilities consist of 2 x separate showers, 2 x WC's and handbasin and 2 x outdoor double washing up sinks and are located beside the car park.

Savannah Yurt

A magical woodland eco-retreat nestled on the edge of Ashdown Forest, home of Winnie the Pooh. A place to escape, unwind, and soak up the forest atmosphere (Shinrin-yoku).

We are passionate about the natural environment. The site has been designed adopting the principles of Permaculture, and we demonstrate different ways of lowering our carbon footprint and living more self sufficiently. Eco-credentials include rainwater harvesting, solar power and food supplied for the café from our forest and vegetable gardens. Visitors are encouraged to compost their own green waste on site.

Guests enjoy the simple pleasures of cooking over a camp fire under the stars, seeing and hearing the abundant flora and fauna, picnicking in the woods or enjoying the many spectacular walks in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The hot power showers and proper flushing loos are located beside the café, just a short stroll from each yurt & cabin (50-150m).

Check the weather forecast in advance of your woodland retreat so that you can pack appropriate clothes for the weather. Remember you will be in a forest surrounded by woodland, so appropriate footwear such as boots or wellingtons. We recommend packing sun protection, insect repellent and sun/rain hats along with torches and matches and hand sanitizer. You will also need to bring all your bedding for the units. All cooking utensils are provided for you. 

The cabins and yurt hires are provided with essential cooking utensils, including a frying pan, saucepans, kettle, knives, forks, plates, cups etc. All the cooking utensils are steam cleaned between bookings.

Each of our log cabin and yurt hires has its own barbecue and fire pit. We sell our own seasoned logs for £10 for a large bag. These can be purchased at time of booking, by email or, on site. We also sell locally produced charcoal at £7 per bag. Fire pits and barbecues must only be used in designated areas. You can bring your own logs with you to your woodland retreat, as long as they are kiln dried or well-seasoned and small in size to fit in the log burners in the cabins and yurts [up to 23cm long].

Each tent faces outwards with views throughout the surrounding areas and woodland, ideal for a family group that is glamping in Kent. Visitors are always pleasantly surprised by the peacefulness of this setting. Youngsters are free to climb up and swing and play safely among the list of woods close to the tent. The older people might prefer to explore the farm while trying to overcome the Sunninglye Challenge, a farm path which combines fun with education and will occupy them for a couple that is great of. Sunninglye Farm\u2019s fields are typical lawn \u2013 including a wildflower that is seasonal \u2013 and you're frequently free to wander all over the farm. Activities in the farm:
Near the copse that is pretty the tents are found is Rocky Field, home towards the nature watch hideout for spotting badgers, foxes, and deer. Only a little on that is further the private pond for messing about with our old ships. Additionally there is sunninglye\u2019s raft that is amazing activity, available on demand. Donkey & cart trips, kayaking, the Wildlife Challenge and pony care are only a number of the other activities to use during your stay. Horseback riding can be scheduled nearby also. Each tent features its own campfire that is specific where you are able to prepare or simply relax after the day\u2019s activities. You won\u2019t get hungry! Sunninglye offers a number of hampers, boxes, and packs of meals plus meats, meals, cheeses, bread, and cakes!

Little Elses Glamping Pods 

Take a breather from everyday life and reconnect with nature at Little Elses Glamping, a small-scale adults-only site in Sevenoaks Weald. Nestled in a wildflower meadow, our three luxury bell tents make a great place for getaways in the seclusion of the Kent countryside. 

There's plenty to see and do in the area, which is full of footpaths, cycle rides, restaurants, vineyards and National Trust properties. On top of that, the A21 is a two-minute drive up the hill, meaning you can get down to the Kent or Sussex coast in about an hour, or up to London with ease.

We're just a 10 minute walk to the local village pub for drinks and food, there's also a community store where you can pick up some basics. There's also plenty of supermarket choice in the neighboring towns of Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, ideal if you're thinking of firing up your barbecue for an alfresco evening meal back at your tent. Or if you don't feel like cooking, walk five minutes down the track to Giacomo's Italian restaurant (smart casual dress code) just over the road. We also supply log burners, each with it's own kettle, in the winter months so you can curl up inside your tent with something warm.
