Wonderful, double glazed and centrally heated throughout holiday homes, with french windows and balcony to the front. All holiday homes have a double and a twin bedroom (with a gazunder bed). Jack and Jill bathroom can be accessed from the main bedroom or the hallway. Electricity and gas are included for the duration of your stay.

Bed linen is provided for the double bed only and will be made up for your arrival.
If you wish to use the single bed in the twin room, please bring your own bedding.

We have tried to equip all the holiday homes with everything you may need and even make up the bed so you only have to bring your own towels.  But it goes without saying, if you think we may have missed something, please let us know.

All holiday homes are connected to mains water, electricity and drainage and each have an allocated car parking space. Please note that we operate a non-smoking and no pets policy within the holiday homes.

Regrettably, we do not allow visitors in the holiday homes.

Wayfarers Caravan Park in South Cornwall is a 4-star graded park set in a quiet village, just five minutes from the stunning beaches and ancient market town of Marazion and in a wonderful location for exploring some of Cornwall’s most fantastic towns, beaches and landmarks.

Exclusively for adults and dog free, Wayfarers is a wonderfully tranquil place, offering breathtaking views across Cornish farmland. Whether you are looking for a quick overnight stop or a longer break there is no doubt this site ticks all the boxes. It is also possible to book a seasonal pitch for your caravan and make it a bit more permanent; Wayfarers would take some serious beating for a regular holiday destination. Touring vehicles and tents all have access to electric hook-ups if you wish and there is a choice of hardstanding or grass pitches.  

This family run site really is beautifully landscaped and very well maintained, with neat grass, trimmed Cornish hedging, lush shrubs and mature trees, all spread out over five acres.  It attracts many rare birds, so if you fancy a bit of beginners twitching, bring your bird book. The swaying palm trees give the whole place a distinctly Mediterranean feel.  The pitches are well-sized and there is plenty of space between them all, giving a good amount of privacy should you want it.  The excellent facilities include showers, toilets, communal BBQ areas and an onsite shop selling local produce including their own organic veg. This place is good for you inside and out. The thoughtful owners have recently opened The Flying Duck, their onsite bistro (with a bar, hurrah!) selling hearty breakfasts and delicious evening meals.  
 
So, what is there to explore in the area?  Well, quite a bit.  If you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday, head down to one of the lovely nearby beaches; Marazion, Sennen Beach, Praa Sands and Porthcurno are all magnificent sandy stretches and perfect for spending the day lolling by the shores or swimming in the clear waters. Wayfarers is within two miles of Mounts Bay and its ancient island castle on St Michael’s Mount, which rises from the waters off the shores of Marazion and is well worth a visit.  You can cross on foot at low tide to explore, or if it is high tide take the ferry. For a relaxed walk, meander down the coastal path to historic Penzance and wander around the busy harbour and narrow streets, or head to the nearby town of Newlyn to see the fishing boats come in and sample some delicious local seafood. Drivable day trips include The Eden Project, St Ives and Lands End and if you are interested in archaeology, there are a huge number of Neolithic monuments in South Cornwall, such as Men-an-Toll and the Merry Maidens of Boleigh.

Guests who stay at Wayfarers Caravan Park want to come back and the park gets consistently excellent reviews - due to the awesome location of course, but also because of the incredible care and attention given by Craig and Jean who run the place. A lovely site in a lovely location.

Mr Blue Sky is the larger of our two beautiful hand-crafted Shepherd Huts, decorated in a seaside theme. It is set within its private hedged lawn on a small exclusive adult-only campsite. Mr Blue Sky is located 200 metres up a private lane and tucked well away from the main road. Everything is on hand for the perfect glamping experience, including a king-sized bed, well-equipped mini-kitchen, panel heater and luxury private shower room facilities. Bed linen and towels are included; just bring your beach towels.

Mr Blue Sky enjoys an elevated position with stunning views across the Atlantic Ocean and is accessed by 3 steps. The mini-kitchen has a work surface, 2-ring electric hob, sink, under-counter fridge (with freezer compartment), combination microwave and toaster, as well as a storage cupboard. There are 2 drawers and shelving well stocked with crockery and cooking utensils. There is a fold-away dining table, 2 chairs and a single wardrobe for clothes/storage. There is a TV and DVD player if you can drag yourself away from the stunning sunsets. Mr Blue Sky has a mains cold-water feed and in keeping with true camping tradition, you have a whistling kettle for all your hot water needs.

The large garden area 30m by 15m is hedged and provides plenty of space to park a car and privacy to enjoy the BBQ or fire pit with outdoor furniture provided. This is the perfect place to relax after a long day exploring the Cornish coastal path. Next door, but separated by a hedge is Forget me Not, our other Shepherd Hut.

Mr Blue Sky’s guests have exclusive use of a luxurious shower room (2.7m x 2.7m). This is positioned only a few metres away and accessed by 3 steps. A boiler provides hot water for the shower and washbasin. There is a flushing toilet, heated towel rail, a wall-mounted fan heater, hairdryer and plenty of space to hang beach towels after a long day at the beach.

The garden provides ample space to park your car and enjoy a BBQ or make use of the firepit for toasting marshmallows. Next door but separated by a tall hedge is Mr Blue Sky our other Shepherd hut.

Forget Me Not

Bos Verbas is home to two Shepherd huts; "Mr Blue Sky" and "Forget Me Not". The huts are nestled in their private hedged lawn providing plenty of room for parking a car, enjoying an al fresco meal with the fire pit or BBQ and ensuring your privacy.

Both huts provide a mini kitchen with a full-size fridge, hob, sink and combination microwave. A private "beach hut" at the rear of the plots provides a luxury bathroom - one for each hut -with a walk-in shower, basin, toilet, heated towel rail and hairdryer.

Mr Blue Sky also offers a TV/DVD and is slightly larger with a King-sized Bed.
The site is ideally located for enjoying the very best that West Cornwall has to offer. Praa Sands with a mile of sandy beach, seasonal surfing school and café is only a 20-minute walk away. The picturesque harbour town of Porthleven with pubs, restaurants and craft shops is only a 7-minute drive East. The iconic St Michaels’ Mount is only a 7-minute drive to the West, while the rugged north- coast includes St Ives, Carbis Bay and Godrevy -a mecca for surfers and seals alike! - is only 20 minutes away by car. Lands’ End, Porthcurno (home to the famous Minack Theatre) and the Lizard are all within a half hour’s drive, where you can access many stunning beaches. Those of you who enjoy walking will be richly rewarded with spectacular views on much of the South-West coastal path. Equally, with the fabulous sea views and well-appointed Shepherd Hut, you may prefer to chill and enjoy your glamping experience without going anywhere.

Not in the getaway that is primary owners try to be as flexible as you are able to on arrival and departure times and will provide temporary breaks for 4 nights from £55 per evening. We are a mile and a half inland, midway between St Michael's Mount and Porthleven, regarding the SW slopes of Tregonning Hill. Its simply five full minutes by vehicle towards the coastline that is south at Praa Sands, Rinsey Cove and Prussia Cove. From the farm you can find wonderful views throughout the areas to the Penwith hills together with sea at Mounts Bay. There clearly was a footpath through the farm to your top of Tregonning Hill with fantastic views both to your coastline that is southMounts Bay) while the north shore at St Ives Bay.We welcome young ones and dogs. There is a field to play in right close to the cottage and there's additionally a footpath to Tregonning Hill  a walk that is short fabulous views. Even in summer time months being busiest the farm is a peaceful retreat at the end of the time.

Extra logs can be purchased for a charge that is small Balwest Farm is located almost halfway between Lands End and Lizard Point, which makes it an amazing base to explore each of western Cornwall. St Michaels Mount, St. Ives, Penzance, Mousehole, Kynance Cove, Helford and Falmouth are just a few of the accepted places within half an hours drive. West Cornwall is a spot that is magical even yet in high summer time you can find unfrequented coves, cliffs and woodland if you're prepared to explore.      

The Little Wild Campsite is located high on Tregonning Hill, a world heritage site, and has stunning views of Mounts Bay and the surrounding area. It is located on a 7 acre smallholding run by Baya and James and their 3 children Arthur, Lilly and Joe.
There will be a range of different activities available for you to book onto each week including forest school days.  Please see the activities page for details. There is no electricity on site so phones etc. will need to be charged in cars.

We have one composting toilet which is a beautiful wooden structure with a turf roof and a shower in a shed!

The Little Wild Campsite

This year, 2022, The Little Wild Campsite is open from 23th July. Bookings now are available in 1 week blocks starting from Saturday (arriving after 2pm) and ending the following Saturday (departing before 11.30am).

The Little Wild Campsite is located high on Tregonning Hill, a world heritage site, and has stunning views of Mounts Bay and the surrounding area. The sea is only 2 miles away and there are long open beaches and small hidden coves. Porthleven is our 4 miles away and has lots of great restaurants, cafes and pubs. We are also within easy reach of the South West Costal Path. 

There is no electricity on site so phones etc. will need to be charged in cars.

**Getting to us**
By Train:  The easiest station to go to is Penzance. There is then a bus (number 2) from the station that brings you to the end of the road (Lion and Lamb pub, in Ashton). Walk up the hill towards Balwest for approx 15 minutes and you'll find us on the right.

By Car:  Follow A30 towards Penzance and come off at the Camborne exit. Then follow the B3303 toward Helston. After 6 miles, you reach Nancegollan, then turn right towards Godolphin Cross. At Godolphin Cross, go straight over at the junction and follow the road for 1.6 miles. We are the left, just after Chycarnne Holiday cottages.
If you are coming from anywhere further south than Truro, follow the A394 towards Penzance. Turn off at Ashton, just after the Lion and Lamb Pub, signposted Balwest and Godolphin Cross. We are directly opposite the Balwest sign as you enter the hamlet. Postcode for Sat Nav is TR13 9TE. This however, takes you to the village hall, 100m up the road.

Tremorvu Shepherds Hut

Tremorvu is bordered by Cornish hedges attracting a good amount of wildlife including foxes, badgers, rabbits, buzzards, owls and swallows.There are distant views regarding the Atlantic Ocean to the South and Penwith Peninsula to the West showcasing sunsets being spectacular. North associated with website is Tregonning Hill, a climb that is satisfying with panoramic views associated with the surrounding areas and additional afield to Mounts Bay, Falmouth, St Agnes Beacon & St Ives. Also, they are close to many of the areas which can be coastal in BBC's Poldark. The coastline that is nearest is Praa Sands 1.5 kilometers away.There is a pub in Ashton Village serving pub grub and neighborhood ales and another within the nearby town of Breage which serves excellent homemade meals utilizing regional produce, a variety of wines and local ales.The Shepherds Hut has got the best place regarding the campsite with stunning ocean views.The Hut  is designed and kitted down for two individuals and it is a great spot for a get away as a result all holiday, an intimate break or Mini-Moon.Inside there is certainly a curtained King Size bed area with luxury mattress raised up to simply take complete advantage of the vista the sleep has squidgy feather filled pillows and a thick feather filled duvet, plus woollen blankets and tosses for those chilly nights! All bed linens and towels are provided and a part of cost and are made prepared for your arrival.There is a well equipped kitchen area that is mini with refrigerator, mini oven/grill, hob, kettle, crockery, glasses, utensils, cooking pots and pans. A fold down dining table is equipped in the Hut with two Elm seats for use inside. A stove that is wood-burning fitted at one end of this Hut and wood comes for burning. With over 12 years coaching experience our head coach Chris Brown (current English team coach) leads a team of 7 coaches  Steve, Theo, Penny, Woody, Huck, Alfie & Anne-Marie. All our coaches have been hand picked to ensure the highest levels of quality and professionalism are achieved on a daily basis for all ages and abilities.

About our Family Surf Lessons. For the 2020 season we will be offering our family surf lesson packages from our beach bases at Gwithian Towans and Praa Sands, where we have inputted COVID-19 Secure Guidelines to ensure customer and staff safety.

Both Gwithian and Praa Sands and very family friendly surf spots. Families make up the majority of our customers base from July  September. We work on an unbeatable 1:8 instructor to student ratio, children 8+ can surf unaided however to ensure any younger siblings dont miss out we are happy for children aged 5-7 to join the lesson as long as they are assisted by a family member. There is not a better family experience to share in Cornwall than surfing, whether its the thrill of all the family standing up and sharing a Party Wave or whether its the entertainment of watching each other wipeout in spectacular fashion.

All of our equipment is kept to the highest standards and is no more than 2 years old. All you will need to bring is a towel, swimsuit and hopefully suncream and our team will do the rest!

Booking your lesson in advance is essential as we have limited number of lesson slots each day to ensure the ultimate uncrowded customer experience.

Family Taster
Surf Lesson
Our family taster surf lesson is aimed at those who have never surfed before or have had a few lessons and need a refresher. Your lesson will be divided into 3 parts A, B & C firstly; on the beach you will learn about safety, your equipment, how to catch waves & get to your feet riding a wave! Then its time to hit the surf and put it all into practice. Lessons are 2 hours long and we provide all equipment. The youngest weve taught is 5 and the oldest 90 so our family lessons really are for all generations.

We will guarantee your family members will all surf in the same group.

2 SURF LESSONS
The Introduction to Surfing package includes two 2-hour surf lessons, which can be taken on consecutive or non-consecutive days and all equipment is provided. After learning the art of standing up in your first lesson we will focus on staying up during the second lesson. The 2 day introduction to surfing will also cover the pro pop-up and speeding up / slowing down techniques. We will guarantee your family members will all surf in the same group.

3 SURF LESSONS
The Family Surf Experience includes three 2-hour surf lessons, which can be taken on consecutive or non-consecutive days and all equipment is provided. In a 3 lesson package we will introduce the art of trimming youre surfboard along a wave, as you now progress towards an improver this is one of the most exciting skills to learn. You will also be coached how to read waves and then ride the wave to the left or right. By lesson 3 the kids will be up on their feet almost 99% of the time, and were confident the adults will have also experienced standing by the third lesson.

5 SURF LESSONS
The Family Surf Package includes five 2-hour surf lessons, which can be taken on consecutive or non-consecutive days and all equipment is provided.

In the Family Surf Package we will take you from enthusiastic beginner to a well-rounded improver. Your coach will work closely with each member of your family covering speed control, trimming, ocean safety, turning your surfboard and paddling beyond the white water to catch your first unbroken Green wave. As well as the unforgettable rides the guarantee each family member will be entertained beyond imagine with the spectacular wipeouts.

On completion of your 5-day course your coach will advise you on what equipment is best for you and put in place a selection of goals to continue your surfing progression.

SURF LESSON
We provide 2-hour bespoke private surf lessons for family groups of three  five individuals, including full equipment hire. We will provide you with your own private coach for your family group. Our private family lessons are aimed at beginner  improver surfers looking to increase the speed of their learning curve, the lessons are also great if you have younger children giving them more 1-to-1 attention to ensure they leave smiling from ear to ear after an unforgettable experience.

All our private lessons include FREE equipment hire after your lesson to allow to continue practising the skills youve just learnt.
