This year our Cowslip yurt moved into The Glade; an exclusive, private part of the farm, surrounded by trees, a wild pond and its own little footpath style entrance, as well as its own unique handmade long framed tipi equipped as an indoor-outdoor kitchen and dining area.

We have 2 unique eco-yurt stays, both come fully equipped with comfy beds, log burners, furniture, equipped kitchen with stove, cooking ware and drinking water sink, solar lighting, outdoor standing BBQ, large circle fire pit and a compost loo and hot shower.

We offer a unique ‘back to basics’ camping experience on our working farm in Derbyshire. Our limited facilities are offset by the panoramic views of the Peak District and stunning sunsets to the west.

-   No fixed pitches; campers use a selection of fields dependent on livestock grazing and haymaking.
-    No electricity hook-up; enjoy the sounds of the countryside without your hair-dryer or DAB radio.
-    No hot water or showers for campers; mains drinking water taps on bright blue pipes are available in the fields for your use.
-    Environmentally friendly; compost toilets and long-drops facilities.
-    We allow campfires; provided no damage to the ground is caused, i.e the fire is on a fire pan, brazier or BBQ. We have handmade fire pan’s available for use free of charge.
-    Large log bags; available to buy for £5 a bag, one bag will last three-four hours burning, or bring your own! (no nails please)
-    Well-behaved dogs; are allowed by arrangement. We have free-range livestock including lambs and poultry, so dogs must be kept under close control at all times.

We are dog friendly and don’t charge extra, however, we kindly ask that they are kept off the furnishings and should any damage occur the hirer is responsible for costs.

The campsite has many varied pitches. We have a number of small enclosed family meadows that have far reaching views across the dales to the distance. We are first and foremost a quiet country campsite. ​ We are not in any way commercial, and look to serve ordinary down to earth customers, looking for a friendly peaceful escape. You may hear tractors in the lanes & fields, cows and sheep are also in the fields near the site as this is a farming community. ​ Hopefully you will be able to recharge with lovely fresh air, long country walks and great Derbyshire hospitality. ​ Loud music is not allowed, no noise after 10pm and before 8am.

All three new  deluxe Glamping Pods have their own en-suite shower room and toilet. A kitchenette area with a sink and two burner hob, microwave oven and fridge. Also included is a fixed double bed, TV and DVD Player, external table and chairs. The pod is fully equipped with all cooking utensils, cutlery, glasses, cups pots and pans etc. So all you will need to bring is your bedding and linen, towels and food supplies. Externally there is a decked area, with lighting overlooking the Top Lake, and a hardstanding pitch at the side for parking.

Fully Serviced Grass Pitch

RENT A LARGE 6-METER LUXURY GLAMPING BELL TENT with a maximum capacity of up to four people per bell tent It is ideal for anyone who likes the idea of camping but without all the setting up required. Each tent has two comfortable single Futon beds and one double bed.. Inside it's equipped with seating and a dining table, bedside tables and a coffee table. There is lighting indoors and out and also an electric heater and electric kettle inside.  Outside is a bench style table for and a free to use fire pit. Firewood can be purchased onsite. Each of our two Rental Bell Tents are on large individual pitches and are sited next to each other . You will need to bring all camping items with you such as bedding and pillows, pots, pans, plates, cups etc but if you don't want to cook, there are several local food takeaway options to choose from within a mile of the campsite..


Glamping Tents - Redwood and Bluebell Bell Tents

Sleeping up to four people in two double beds, these  Rental Trailer Tents are a Ready Pitched option.. Each trailer tent has two double beds with bed mats. There is  comfortable seating for four people and a large table.  Electric hook up is provided with mains 240 volt sockets and USB charging and even an electric kettle. Outside is car parking on your pitch and an outdoor bench style dining table and a free to use firepit. .Ground sheet provided, please bring all camping items with you including bedding and pillows, cooking equipment dishes etc.
