We can offer up to 4 guests per yurt the opportunity to experience the wealth and beauty of an ancient wildflower meadow with a breathtaking view of Glastonbury Tor a stunning 180-degree view of the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels. We are nestled within the Dove constellation of the Glastonbury Zodiac and are close to various beautiful locations such as the renowned RSPB reserves at Shapwick, near Glastonbury, which harbours a multitude of birds and wildlife. You will be provided with a beautifully spacious yurt with a sumptuous four-poster bed, cosy wood burner a fully equipped kitchen, your own private toilet and shower room, outside fire pit, BBQ and seating and free on site parking close to your accommodation. LED 12 volt lighting is provided throughout and sockets for mobile phone and tablet charging etc. . Our compost toilets are of the highest standard. They are spotlessly clean and pleasant to use. You will have your own designated toilet whilst at Banbury Meadow, so will not have to share with other guests, other than your own party members. The shower has been built to provide you with instant on-demand hot water and is available for use 24 hours a day. Also provided are fresh towels for each of our guests, free of charge. The "shower shed" contains one shower and sink, and is suitably decorated to a high standard. The showers are heated by an off-grid propane heater and powered by a leisure battery and boat pump. No dogs other than guide dogs.
Banbury Meadow is managed organically as a private nature reserve with Somerset Wildlife Trust certification and carefully presented as a tranquil glamping retreat, we are situated on the fringe of the historic village of Butleigh, less than a 10-minute drive from the famous town of Glastonbury, overlooking Glastonbury Tor and within the ancient Vale of Avalon. We are a small glamping retreat that will especially appeal to people with an interest in treading lightly on the earth and reconnecting with nature and just being able to unplug and relax.
We have two 6m yurts available for private rental, either as separate bookings or we are able to offer exclusive rental of the entire site for up to eight guests at a time

Although we have a licence for many units, we have limited ourselves to only two 6-metre yurts because we wish to keep our site peaceful, exclusive and as low impact as possible.
