The Screech Belle is a camping accommodation located in Cheddar, Somerset. With views over the woodland The Screech Belle is colourful and cosy, with rugs, throws, cushions and a king-size bed with luxury bedding. There are drawers to store your clothes, a sofa to relax on and a table and chairs for indoor dining, all finished with those extra luxury touches and of course bunting and fairy lights. The sofa can become a bed and bedding provided for separate sleeping arrangements or for an extra person when notified in advance. The tents are equipped with Crockery, Cutlery, pans etc along with a large cool box to keep your Prosecco cold on the warm evenings. There is an ordnance survey map of the local area, information books and a pair of mini binoculars to help you enjoy your stay. Tea, coffee etc are provided in Cheats Kitchen where you will find the electric kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and extra charging points for phones etc. Outdoor games are also available in case you would like to enjoy a game of croquet or maybe quoits? Your first basket of logs/kindling/firelighters and a pack of charcoal are provided with extras available in the honesty shop. Complimentary water from Cheddar Springs and Honey from our bee hives at Owley can also be found here. Equipped with almost everything you need, just bring clothes, towels, provisions and a torch for stress free glamping! Powered by Nature! Our tents are off grid, so we provide a solar portable power pack with USB sockets for phone charging (just in case you want to stay in touch with the outside world!), and solar lights for those darker evenings. Lotus Belle Tents really are the top of the range tents made from heavy duty weatherproof canvas. With plenty of room to move around and stand up, it really doesn’t feel like you’re camping! They have a roomy porch area which further extends the living area and is ideal for outdoor clothes, muddy boots etc, there is space for all your needs, and then topped with a leafy green cover to protect the bats and wildlife from any light spill. Outside of your tent, you have a seating area with comfy chairs and table and wood fired stove to boil a kettle or cook breakfast on. To keep you warm and cosy on the cooler summer evening, each tent has a fire pit with additional available hanging grill if you really want to explore your culinary skills. Our onsite facilities were brand new in 2021 and we love our heated wood clad amenity block which has two bathrooms with flushing toilets and hot showers with a separate undercover washing up sink. We are open from March - October and have a two night minimum stay (you will wish you stayed longer!)
