Oysterber Farm CL is situated near Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales set in open countryside midway between the villages of Low Bentham and Burton-in-Lonsdale. There are three pubs all within walking distance. At High Bentham 2 miles away, there are a good range of shops including 2 small supermarkets, full banking facilities and a post office.

Close to the three peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent, this part of England offers some of the very best walking, climbing, cycling and caving. From the CL you are on the doorstep of The Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District, and the west coast seaside resorts of Morecambe Bay and the beautiful Lancashire countryside only a few miles away in the Forest of Bowland.

Ingleton and Clapham, both famous for waterfalls and caves, are very close and it is only 6 miles from the attractive Cumbrian Market town of Kirkby Lonsdale whilst the wildlife reserve at Leighton Moss is only a further 5 miles away.

Recreational facilities around Bentham are many and varied, including fishing in the river Wenning for trout and sea trout and Stocks Reservoir and the charming village of Slaidburn are only 15 miles away. There is an 18-hole golf course with a modern clubhouse 2 miles away at High Bentham and a very active footpath group organizes guided walks around the area every week; there are 28 well sign posted walks in all. Both on and off road cycling is very popular and there are many green roads free of traffic to ride, including a cycle way that runs the length of the Lune Valley all the way to Morecambe on the Coast with branches off to various other destinations. Close to the CL is the owners Studio Pottery where you can book a pottery course. Ranging from half a day to a full week, or simply just to come and watch. The area was once famous for its small potteries and the nearby village of Burton-in-Lonsdale was the centre of this rural industry. The pottery is produced in the traditional manner, mainly on the wheel and fired in a gas kiln to stoneware temperatures and sold from the showroom which is on site.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times due to livestock in the adjacent fields. There are many walks direct from the CL for exercising them, two of our favourites are on the banks of the Rivers Wenning and Greta, just ask us for details when you arrive.

It is a very quiet site and has electric hook up points, a shower, WC and washbasin.

Our campsite is set in the beautiful chocolate box village of Thornton le Dale, with its welcoming hostelries and tea rooms, along with a plethora of galleries, crafts, and fresh local produce.

Within a few miles of Dalby Forest, you can exlpore its family friendly walks and outdoor ameninties, including adventure playgrounds, picnic areas and open woodland.  For those who live life on the edge, Dalby Forest is a mecca for mountain bikers.  With routes for all levels of experience, enjoy a day on its purpose built trails.

Kale Pot Cottage is a converted 18th Century barn offering self-catering peace and tranquillity.  Standing alone in our 3 acre paddock it's secluded but just 100 yards from a forest road. Surrounded by woodland you will find neighbours:  badgers, foxes and deer are frequently seen  owls and woodpeckers heard. Our isolated location means that on a clear night you won*t believe just how many stars there are! Situated just 10 miles from the bustling market city of Pickering, Kale Pot Cottage is convenient for moors and coast, and just 45 minutes from the historic city of York. Right on the doorstep is breathtaking Newtondale,  in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

The  spacious accommodation  has a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom plus a twin bedroom (with space for third bed) and wetroom. The fully fitted kitchen area, lounge and dining area  are upstairs to give fabulous views over the dale. There is full central heating, double glazing and a log burner in the lounge - for year-round comfort. Outside there is ample parking, cycle store and  barbecue area.

Amidst the stunning heather-clad scenery of the North York Moors National Park, this group of three cosy cottages is set in a paved courtyard, with seating and colourful planting. Recently updated, the cottages are all very comfortably furnished and presented to a very high standard.

Conveniently close to the Fox and Rabbit pub with restaurant, in superb walking country, the cottages offer an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful North York Moors National Park and Dalby Forest. Just 4 miles away from Pickering with good shopping, restaurants and takeaways, leisure centre and swimming pool, and the famous North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. Goathland, renowned as Heartbeat’s ’Aidensfield’, is just 7 miles away, and Flamingo Land Theme Park and Eden Camp, a Second World War museum, are both within 10 miles. Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall are within 15 miles as is the coast at Whitby.

The Blackwell Ox Caravan Park

In the beautiful and picturesque countryside of **North Yorkshire**, hidden away in a lovely secluded spot, is **Studley House Farm**.  Here you will find an exclusively **adults only** Caravan Park; a small and lovely site with space for only eight touring vehicles, set out in the old apple orchard.  You are assured of a very warm Yorkshire welcome here; the freshly cut grass is beautifully maintained and there is lots of space to relax on the well tended, immaculately kept grounds.  If you do not have a caravan or motorhome, then there are also two delightful and well equipped **holiday cottages** available for rent, and an excellent **Bed & Breakfast** too.  **Studley House Farm** is a lovely and peaceful place and guests who stay here rate it incredibly highly, often coming back to visit again and again.

If you do manage to bag one of the eight pitches, then you can make use of the excellent facilities here, including free wifi, showers, toilets, hot and cold water, chemical disposal point and a washing machine and tumble dryer.  Everything is kept spotlessly clean.  The views from the campsite are gorgeous, looking right out over the countryside, and all the hardstanding pitches are large, level and well maintained.  **Dogs are very welcome here** and there are plenty of **excellent walks** nearby to keep your four legged friends happy.

Studley House Farm is situated in the historic village of **Ebberston**, a pretty village with a church dating back to the Norman times,  a 17th Century Hall and an excellent pub - the Grapes Inn - worth a trip to sample the delicious home cooked meals and local ales.  To the north of the village is **Chafer Wood**, a pretty nature reserve and a great place for a stroll and to spot the abundant flora and fauna which is protected here by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.  The view from the top of the wood down to **Pickering Vale** is stunning.

The location of Studley House Farm is also absolutely ideal for exploring further afield around some of North Yorkshire’s most stunning countryside.  The **North York Moors** **National Park** is right on your doorstep here; a magical place with endless walking and cycling trails, wildflowers, plenty of wildlife, ancient woodlands and acres of **heather** **moorland**, it is a spectacular place to visit.  Aside from the wild landscapes inland, there are many lovely coastal towns to visit; the bustling town of **Scarbrough** is 20 minutes away by car, the pretty seaside town of **Whitby** and the picturesque **Robins Hoods Bay** are also close by.  The nearby market town of **Pickering** is great for shopping and has a good market every Monday.  For a family day out, Go Ape is a few miles away or for something less wild, visit Betton Farm; a working honey farm with a petting zoo.  However you spend your holiday at Studley House Farm, you can be assured of a very peaceful and relaxing time in a beautiful part of England.
