Each hut is designed to sleep a group of four, featuring a snug double bed with a single bunk above and a child's camping z bed for added flexibility. Inside, guests will find a mini kitchenette complete with a gas camping stove for convenient cooking, (Please do not cook food inside the huts) as well as a toasty log burner and comfortable seating bench for relaxation.
Although you won’t find any electricity on site our huts have lights inside and a phone charger available for those emergency calls.

The small and welcoming church of St Mary’s in Fordwich is just 3 miles from Canterbury and has been offering rest to weary pilgrims for centuries, sitting on the ancient Way of St Augustine. Slap-bang on the River Great Stour, the truly teeny-tiny town of Fordwich still has the feel of a quaint town of centuries past, with its totally titchy Town Hall, virtually untouched since it was built in 1544. You can mess about on the river, or make like a true pilgrim and avail yourself of the victuals and ale provided by England’s smallest town’s two pubs – The George & Dragon and the award winning The Fordwich Arms.

The church itself is mellow and unspoilt, with seventeenth-century fittings and wall paintings. It is home to a strange carved stone, dating from around 1100. Nearly 1.7 metres long, the Fordwich Stone is thought to be a shrine made for the body parts – or relics – of a saint, maybe St Augustine of Canterbury

Enjoy a relaxing break in this fabulous treehouse that sits on a 15th Century farmstead, in a historic Kent village near Canterbury. Made from recycled timbers and offering stunning views across the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it’s hard to believe this cosy escape is less than two hours away from London.

This truly unique holiday home sleeps two guests and has been constructed around an old tree on the grounds, which grows up through the treehouse. After making the ascent up the wooden staircase into the property, those staying are greeted by a cleverly designed space. Comfort has not been compromised, as guests are presented with a large double bed with luxurious linen and secure and sturdy windows keeping the interior lovely and warm - even when the weather outside is not.

On the ground floor is a small cabin with a chemical toilet, while those staying can use the shower facilities in the main house. Surrounded by the fantastic Kent countryside, there really is an impression of blending inside and outside at Elham Treehouse and this can be further emphasised with the use of the charcoal barbecue which is provided.

There is a cosy wood burner to keep you warm. All wood supplied.

Our huts are aimed at people who want a wild tranquil escape. They are 1/2km away from the nearest road and dwelling.
