Facilities include a double shower block and chemical toilet disposal point.

On approach to the site there are electric gates with a coded entry ensuring our site is secure for your children and dogs.

There is a car park available for parking your vehicles away from the pitch, making the most of your surroundings and spacious pitches.

We can even supply your Calor Gas. Locally you will find everything you need for your stay with the local village of Much Wenlock a short distance away.

All electric pitches will have its own coin meter where you put £1 coins in at your leisure.

Built on the Roman site of Viroconium, Wroxeter Roman City is a stone’s throw away. Not only that, the Wroxeter Roman Vineyard is a very short distance in the opposite direction and offers tours, tastings and afternoon tea. Local rumour has it that late on a quiet night, you can still hear the echo of Roman soldier’s feet on the road outside…

Completed in 2018, the Shepherds Hut offers all modern conveniences such as electricity, hot/cold running water, Kitchen area, en suite shower room, free WiFi, TV and electric wood burning stove.

Sleeping two people, the Shepherds Hut is set in an idyllic location over looking fields, woodland and water and the private decked area with table and chairs offers the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view and the wildlife.

We are situated between Bridgnorth and Ironbridge, off the B4373, five minutes by car from Bridgnorth.

We are rurally situated and there is only one Shepherds Hut on site, check in is contact-less, all facilities (kitchen & shower room) are inside the hut &                                                                                                     there is a private, fenced, outside space.

The hut is thoroughly cleaned & aired between guests and there is the option to bring your own towels and bedding.

We have been accredited through VisitEngland that 'We're Good To Go' and AA 'Covid Confident' to ensure that we are following industry COVID-19 guidelines to maintain cleanliness and social distancing.

**Please note:**

As we are a micro business unfortunately **we are unable to refund or change bookings once made.**

Please bear in mind that we are a working farm and very occasionally **there may be tractors working and noise from sheep.**

Unfortunately **we are not able to accept Dogs as we have livestock in the fields** around the Shepherds Hut.

We **do not** permit smoking anywhere in the Shepherds Hut or grounds.

**A minimum of 2 nights are required when booking for this accommodation.**

Looking for a fantastic spot to pitch up your campervan for the night then look no further. With nearly 100 acres of beautiful land, you're sure to find a stunning spot to call your own. With only the stars and the sheep to keep you company, we guarantee you'll have a peaceful holiday in the hills of Shropshire. 

Whilst we think that these pitches are fantastic and offer peace and quiet in remote locations, they do not offer any facilities. For those looking for a little more comfort or conventional camping, these may not be your first choice.

Please bring your own portable camping toilet and remove waste responsibly.



Campervan Pitch

Here, at Hamperley Hideaways we’ve created a space just for you, with our Wild Camping, you are not booking your own camping pitch, you are booking the whole field to yourselves. So, no worrying about the neighbours being too loud - with no one else around in sight nor sound, this area of outstanding natural beauty is all yours to enjoy. And with our contact-free check-in, you can spend the whole trip in peace and quiet. 

With 10 individual camping spots dotted across our farm, there are plenty of choices to suit everyone. Each pitch is set up with a picnic table, fire pit and compost toilet. So all you need to do is pick your favourite spot and bring your tent!

Please, note that whilst we think these spots are fantastic, they may not be to everyone's tastes or requirements. There is no running water, electric or flush-able toilets - if you want a little more comfort during your break we recommend having a look at our Glamping Spaces

Wild Camping

Handmade using an old trailer as a base and salvaged materials from the Farm, the Hut couples a charming interior with an authentic feel. Fitted with just the basics of fire, bed and blankets, The Hut has all you need for your back-to-basic retreat in the hills.

Set alone in a ten-acre field of a small sheep farm, this is a truly remote location. With no one else around to share the panoramic views of the Shropshire countryside, apart from birds and bees-  It's your own private escape.

This cosy, rustic hut is the perfect way to get back to basics. With its own double bed, small kitchenette and wood-burning fire the Hut is the ideal space to get away from the modern world and reclaim the wild in you.  Small, but not confined, the Hut is ideal for cosying up at any time of year.

Because of the remote location of The Hut, and its simple facilities the Hut does not include:

Running Water  (Bottled drinking water is included)

Flushing Toilet (Compost Toilet on site)

On-site parking (short walk through a field)

We believe that this really adds to the authenticity and experience of a stay aimed to get people back into nature and away from modern life. Step inside Rowan Tree Lodge on our peaceful woodland estate and you'll feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of home. With it's contemporary open plan design, the living and dining space are an inviting site after a long journey. 

The Tree Lodge is situated in a site of outstanding natural beauty. Access is from a private road that winds its way down through Forty five acres of woodland to reveal panoramic views across six counties.

Additional logs and fire lighting amenities need to be purchased at the time of booking or in cash upon arrival at a cost of £5.00 per basket.

The Star Gazing Tree House is our newest glamping style acommodation at Woodland Escapes. Sleep beneath a canopy of stars and immerse yourself in pure natural luxury of  the  woodland. Set in its own private glade, our new Tree House offers the chance to be close to nature with the convenience of modern facilities and home comforts.

This luxurious glamping accommodation features a king size bed with plush pillows and a luxuriously cosy duvet, a dining room table and chairs, a comfy sofa, outside furniture, a spa hot tub (extra charge), BBQ, and a private bathroom with a  hot shower, a flushing toilet and convenient kitchenette. The cooking facilities comprise of a microwave, toaster, kettle, nespresso coffee machine, fridge freezer and the bbq.

The Tree Dome

This luxurious glamping accommodation features a king size bed with plush pillows and a luxuriously cosy duvet. For guests booking for more than 2 people the additional 2 beds are of the fold out type. There is full sized dining table and chairs, outside furniture, a luxurious Scandinavian wood fired hot tub (love tub, £65.00 extra charge), BBQ, and a private bathroom with a  hot shower, a flushing toilet and convenient kitchenette.  The cooking facilities comprise of a microwave, toaster, kettle, nespresso coffee machine, fridge freezer and the bbq.

All well behaved dogs are welcome at an additional charge of £15.00 per dog. Dogs are not permitted on furniture. All guests bringing dogs are required to sign our dog policy before checking in.

A perfect place to come and unwind, relax and wander about to your heart's content. Cycle the beautiful Shropshire countryside or, if you fancy a day out, visit one of the many local beauty spots and attractions.

We're pet friendly and accommodating to your needs and any request will be fulfilled where possible.

Kick back, relax, and enjoy your barbecue or firepit(available to hire for £5/stay and logs for sale at £5 a bag) and wake up to a freshly baked loaf of bread for £3.50 (if ordered in advance).

There a couple of small food shops within 10 minutes drive of the site, and there are also a few pubs within 10 minutes drive of the site.
