If you are a camping addict or even if you're not, then getting married outdoors on a camping or glamping site can be one of the most novel, beautiful and wonderful ways to say "I do." There are some absolutely incredible camping and glamping sites which offer the full package; stunning teepees, yurts for guests, wedding planners, outdoor cocktail bars and romantic woods for the wedding vows. Or, do what my cousin did and just ask the local village campsite if they'll put you up...haul in a marquee, book a gourmet food van, loads of bell tents and the hot tub bus (oh yes! - the Hot Tub Bus) and you have yourself a party like no other. Do it before everyone else does! And to get you in the mood, here are a few rather gorgeous spots......

Higher Holcombe, Devon

Higher Holcombe, Devon

Straight out of the fairytale books to take you on a magical day like no other, tie the knot in the dreamy surroundings of Higher Holcombe in south Devon, where you can exchange vows in the woodland at either the silver birth "church" or the hill top "cathedral", with the birds tweeting and the branches rustling gently. Can a woodland finch fly down, ring in beak and help in the exchange? No. But apart from that, pretty much anything else is possible, with outdoor prosecco bars, alfresco dining, funky tents for wet weather situations and best of all, the coolest accommodation ever for your guests. Five enormous Lotus Belle tents which sleep four or 5, two luxurious shepherds huts for those who don't want canvas, and for Granny Ivy and the crew who like solid stone walls, an architecturally spectacular farmhouse to sleep 10, with gorgeous furnishings and luxury bathrooms. Done. And as for the newlyweds, well, who doesn't want their first night in romantic seclusion to be in the delightful Hobbit House, tucked away in its own garden and overlooking the woodland and meadows. Dreamy.
