Indoor and Soft Play Areas

Climbing is a great way to test your strength, balance and agility. As both an indoor and outdoor sport it can be done whatever the weather! You can try out bouldering, climbing and traversing lower walls (around 3 meters) without the assistance of rope. Bouldering basics can be mastered in a few hours and climbing centers will have graded routes allowing you to start out on the easier paths and work your way up. Rock climbing or high ropes is climbing vertically with the assistance of ropes and using safety harnesses, the walls are around 15 meters tall. You will need a good nerve for heights for this activity! Again, beginner sessions are available as are graded routes.

Kayaking and canoeing is a great way to get close to nature and experience lochs, lakes, rivers and canals in the UK. An easy way to start experiencing boat sports and go on an adventure. When you canoe, you can be seated or kneeling and often use a single paddle.

An open top bus journey can take away the hours pounding the pavement to look around a large city. Boat trips and river cruises are also a great way of seeing a lot of things in a small amount of time, giving you a completely different aspect of the town you are visiting.  Join a large boat or charter something smaller yourself and follow the river along to get a better look at all the surround countryside.

Fishing

East Riding is a historic country within Yorkshire and is located in Northeastern England.  It is a well known favourite holiday spot due to its popular seaside towns of Bridlington, Hornsea and Withernsea.  Bridlington is a very popular resort and offers many activites for all the family whatever the weather when you visit!  Hornsea is a more peaceful stay in comparison to the bustle of Bridlington, but it still has many good attractions; the fantastic Hornsea Museum, crazy golf, a model village and the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire - Hornsea Mere - great for fishing and boating.  Further down the coast, the seaside promenade at Withernsea offers lots of attractions and there is an inland lighthouse which has now been turned into a museum. The maritime City of Hull is also worth a visit if you are in East Yorkshire on holiday.  Hull has been a port since the early 1100's and still is, but the last ten years have seen the city go through a huge overhaul into a modern and trendy spot, crammed with cafes, stylish boutiques and many attractions.  The Maritime Museum, the Streetlife Museum of Transport and the Ferens Art Gallery are all great places for a family outing. The Deep - one of the UK's top aquariums, boats over 5000 species of creatures including sharks, penguins and giant turtles, plus it has an evening restaurant within the aquarium offering amazing underwater views.  You do not need to travel to a five star hotel in  Dubai to eat your supper with clownfish and mantra rays gliding by! Away from the coastline in East Riding make sure to check out the many pretty towns and villages dotted around between York and the East Yorkshire coast.  Beverley, with its 13th century Beverley Minster - one of the largest parish churches in the UK, the small market town of Pocklington (not far form York) or Driffield, the perfect place to explore country estates and historic houses.
