HolidayFox vs Inn Style

A fair comparison for UK B&B and small hotel owners

Last updated: May 2026

If you're running a B&B, guesthouse or small hotel in the UK, Inn Style is one of the names you'll come across. They've been a steady choice for independent UK accommodation for over a decade.

I run HolidayFox, so this isn't a neutral page, but I'll be honest about where Inn Style is the right answer and where we are.

What Inn Style is, and what they do well

Inn Style is a UK-based booking system founded around 2013, headquartered in the south of England. They serve B&Bs, guesthouses, small hotels, inns and pubs-with-rooms across the UK.

Their pitch is "everything an independent inn needs in one tool": bookings, channel manager, payments, guest comms, reporting, designed specifically for small operators rather than scaled-down hotel software.

Things Inn Style genuinely does well:

  • UK-focused. They understand UK B&B operations, deposits, breakfast extras, the rhythm of single-night vs minimum-stay bookings.
  • Customer support. Real UK-based team, consistently strong reputation in operator communities.
  • Stable, dependable product. Not the flashiest, but it does what small inn operators need without surprises.
  • Pubs-with-rooms specialism. Better fitted for venues that combine F&B and rooms than most generic booking systems.

If your priority is "dependable UK-focused booking software with strong customer support and a familiar feel for small inn operators," Inn Style is a credible choice.

What HolidayFox is, and where we're different

HolidayFox is a WordPress-native booking widget plus a booking management back-office. We don't replace your website; we live inside it. Inn Style is a hosted booking platform where the booking page lives on Inn Style's infrastructure and is embedded into your site.

Three differences matter in practice:

  1. Where the booking flow lives. HolidayFox runs on your own WordPress site, your own domain. Inn Style hosts the booking flow on theirs.
  2. Onboarding. Inn Style is self-service with strong support. HolidayFox is white-glove: Candice on our team configures your unit setup, pricing rules, and payments in 5 working days.
  3. Strategic positioning. Inn Style is booking software for inns generally. HolidayFox's pitch is specifically reduce OTA commission by taking more direct bookings.

The two products serve similar operators with somewhat different priorities.

Pricing

Both products are monthly subscriptions priced roughly by number of rooms / units. In practice, Inn Style and HolidayFox typically sit within 10–20% of each other on monthly fee at the same scale.

HolidayFox bundles white-glove setup into the price; Inn Style is self-service. The right way to compare cost is total-cost-of-getting-live, so get a quote from both and factor in the time you'll spend on setup if you go self-service.

Who each one is right for

Inn Style is probably the better fit if:

  • You run a pub-with-rooms or inn where F&B and rooms operations are tightly intertwined.
  • You prefer a hosted platform to a WordPress plugin and have no particular interest in owning your booking infrastructure.
  • You're happy with self-service setup and value their established support team.
  • Your OTA commission situation isn't a top priority: you want booking software, not an OTA replacement strategy.

HolidayFox is probably the better fit if:

  • You want the booking flow to feel native to your own WordPress site.
  • Reducing Booking.com commission is a strategic priority for the next 12–24 months.
  • You'd value white-glove setup over self-service.
  • You're a B&B or small hotel (rather than pub-with-rooms specifically) where direct bookings are the priority over F&B integration.
