CampManager is a full UK holiday-park PMS: diary, website bookings, channel manager. HolidayFox is not a CampManager replacement. It is an after-hours desk on your own site — live chat that answers, checks live stock, and helps guests book on your domain — so 9pm enquiries do not leak to Pitchup. Dual-run via iCal. Pricing: free for the widget, or from £12.99/month for a full website plus 5% commission on bookings taken through HolidayFox.

If you run a UK campsite, touring park or holiday park, CampManager is probably already on the shortlist — or already in the office. They sell end-to-end park management: the diary, website bookings with no extra commission to them, channel connections, the operational stack.

I run HolidayFox, so this is not a neutral page. CampManager is a serious product and for a lot of parks it is the right back-office. The useful question is not “which PMS wins on pitch maps.” It is: when a guest writes at 9pm, who takes the booking — you, or Pitchup?

What CampManager is, and what they do well

CampManager is a UK cloud system for caravan parks, campsites and holiday parks. Their public pitch is a complete booking and park-management platform with commission-free online bookings through your website, live availability, and OTA connections so allocation stays in one place.

Things CampManager genuinely does well:

  • It is a real park PMS. Diary, staff logins, unit optimisation, the day-to-day of a reception desk — not a marketing widget pretending to be software.
  • Website bookings without a per-booking fee to CampManager. Direct on your site is part of the product, not an add-on marketplace.
  • Channel management so Pitchup, Booking.com and the rest do not double-book against the office diary.
  • Built for mixed inventory: touring pitches, statics, lodges, extras. Parks that need that depth should take it seriously.

If your priority is “I need one system to run the park, including arrivals and the booking chart,” CampManager is a credible answer. Pricing is quote-only; ask them for a current figure for your pitch count. We will not invent one here.

What HolidayFox is, and where we are different

HolidayFox is the after-hours desk on the owner’s own website: a live-chat assistant plus a booking widget. It answers from your listing, checks live availability, and helps the guest book on your domain. Widget checkout is live. Paying inside the chat thread is still rolling out.

We are not trying to replace CampManager’s park-management feature set. We sit beside it.

  • Job to be done. CampManager runs the diary. HolidayFox answers the guest who would otherwise email after hours and then book on Pitchup.
  • How you pay us. free for the widget, or from £12.99/month for a full website plus 5% commission on bookings taken through HolidayFox. No joining fee. Quiet months cost less than a full PMS subscription you pay whether anyone booked or not — that is a different product, not a like-for-like undercut.
  • Where it lives. One script on your site (WordPress or otherwise), or we host the site if you do not have one. The guest stays on your domain.
  • Risk to try. Dual-run via iCal. Keep CampManager. If after-hours direct does not show up, cancel.

Who each one is right for

  • • You need one back-office to run a busy park: chart, staff, extras, channels.
  • • Pitch-level maps and on-site ops are the buying criterion.
  • • You already have CampManager, the diary is full, and after-hours leak is not a problem.
  • You already have (or will keep) a PMS and want a live assistant on the website that takes the 9pm enquiry.
  • You have a brochure site or WordPress site and guests still phone, email or bounce to Pitchup after hours.
  • You want to try direct bookings without a joining fee or ripping out the diary.

Talk to us

15 minutes with Hannah. She will ask whether you already run CampManager (or GemaPark), how evenings are handled, and whether a live-chat desk on your own site would change the maths. If you need a full PMS and do not have one, she will say so rather than pretend we are CampManager.

Frequently asked questions

Is HolidayFox a CampManager alternative?

Only if you do not need a full park PMS. For most parks HolidayFox is an after-hours live-chat booking assistant that runs beside CampManager, not a replacement.

Can I keep CampManager and use HolidayFox?

Yes. That is the usual setup. Calendars stay in sync via iCal. CampManager keeps the diary; HolidayFox answers evening guests on your website.

Does CampManager include website bookings?

Yes — commission-free online bookings through your website are a core CampManager pitch. HolidayFox’s difference is the live-chat assistant that answers after hours and helps convert that traffic, plus pay-when-you-book pricing.

What does HolidayFox cost?

free for the widget, or from £12.99/month for a full website plus 5% commission on bookings taken through HolidayFox. No joining fee. CampManager is quote-only — get a current figure from them for your pitch count.
