If you search “Airbnb unified inbox” or “Hospitable vs Lodgify”, Hospitable is on the page. Belgian-born STR tool: messages, channel sync, automations, and on higher plans a direct-booking site, smart locks and an owner portal.
I run HolidayFox, so this is not a neutral page. Both can take a direct booking. The useful question is whether you need their multi-OTA inbox, or a PMS that answers at 9pm on your own domain.
What Hospitable is, and what they do well
Essentials is a free inbox and channel sync. Host adds AI drafts and dynamic pricing. Professional adds a direct-booking website, smart-lock automations and Google Vacation Rentals. Mogul adds owner statements, accounting and fuller inbox AI.
Things they genuinely do well:
- It is a real STR operations inbox. Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com and Agoda in one place.
- Published UK prices, not a hidden quote. As shown on hospitable.com/pricing (UK visitor, monthly, 1 property, checked 2026-09-13): Essentials Free; Host £25/month; Professional £49/month; Mogul £79/month. Annual billed at 12% off (£22.00 / £43.12 / £69.52 per month as shown). Extra properties: Host £9 (maximum two listings on Host); Professional £12; Mogul £25. Prices exclude VAT. 14-day trial, no card.
- A free plan exists. That extra is why a host who only needs the inbox starts there.
- Their AI is message drafts and inbox automation. It is not a live-chat assistant on your website that sees HolidayFox stock and takes the stay on your domain.
If your priority is “a free or cheap STR inbox across Airbnb and Vrbo, and I will handle the website myself,” Hospitable is a credible answer. We will not pretend 5% is cheaper than Essentials-at-Free or Host-at-£25 on software cost.
What HolidayFox is, and where we are different
HolidayFox is a full PMS for independent stays: calendar, bookings, payments, guest messaging, self check-in, a daily agenda, a booking widget or hosted website, after-hours live chat, and Google Hotels.
Widget checkout is live on your domain (Stripe). Paying inside the chat thread is still rolling out. You do not need Hospitable for the diary. If you already have it, iCal can sync — you do not have to.
