CampSuite (campsuite.net) is a UK campsite diary from WorkBee Limited: phone-first book, Stripe into your account, Pitchup / Campsites.co.uk / Hipcamp on one diary. Free for up to 100 pitches. Online bookings: the guest pays a £1.50 fee, or you pick it up. HolidayFox is a full PMS — diary, website checkout, after-hours live chat, Google Hotels. You do not need CampSuite for the diary. Pricing: free for the widget, or from £12.99/month for a full website plus 5% commission on bookings taken through HolidayFox.

HolidayFox vs CampSuite

HolidayFox
HolidayFox is a full PMS for independent stays: calendar, bookings, payments, guest messaging, self check-in, a daily agenda, a booking widget or hosted website, after-hours live chat, and Google Hotels.

If you search “free campsite booking software”, CampSuite is on the page. WorkBee Limited. UK phone 01228 581035. A diary written for the person in the field, not a reception desk. Not Campsite Booking System (campsitebookingsystem.uk) — different product.

I run HolidayFox, so this is not a neutral page. Both are a real book. The useful question is whether a free diary plus a guest booking fee is what you want, or a PMS that answers at 9pm on your domain.

What CampSuite is, and what they do well

Cloud diary on the phone: pitches down the side, dates across the top. Deposits into your own Stripe. Arrivals, jobs, occupancy. WordPress plugin shows availability, then hands the guest to bookings.campsuite.net to pay — payment is not taken on your WordPress page.

Things they genuinely do well:

  • It is a real campsite diary. CL, CS, farm sites, touring, glamping — one book.
  • Published price: free for up to 100 pitches, no card to start, no contract. The only fee they publish is £1.50 on an online booking, paid by the guest — or you pick it up yourself. Source: campsuite.net, checked 2026-09-11. They do not take a commission on the stay.
  • Pitchup, Campsites.co.uk and Hipcamp read the same diary.
  • A human on a Cumbria number. They wrote it from a motorhome. That is their line, and it matches the product.

If your priority is “£0 a month, the guest pays £1.50, and I will handle evenings myself,” CampSuite is a credible answer. We will not pretend 5% is cheaper than free-plus-£1.50 on software cost.

What HolidayFox is, and where we are different

HolidayFox is a full PMS for independent stays: calendar, bookings, payments, guest messaging, self check-in, a daily agenda, a booking widget or hosted website, after-hours live chat, and Google Hotels.

Widget checkout is live on your domain (Stripe). Paying inside the chat thread is still rolling out. You do not need CampSuite for the diary. If you already have it, iCal can sync — you do not have to.
