Search 'campsite booking software UK' and you get park management systems, WordPress plugins, listing sites and a few 2026 buyer's guides. They aren't the same thing. Pick wrong and you pay for pitch-map software you don't need, or still can't answer a guest after hours.
I run HolidayFox, so this isn't a neutral roundup. I'll say what CampManager and GemaPark add on top, and when they're worth buying.
Your booking system, and the extras some parks buy
Your bookings: who's staying, what they paid, guest messages, self check-in, a list of tomorrow's arrivals, the Book now button and the 9pm chat. That's HolidayFox.
Park tools: pitch maps, owner units, housekeeping, tills (EPOS), a reception chart for several staff. That's CampManager and GemaPark. Their prices are quote-only, so ask them; we won't guess. You don't need them to take bookings.
Listing sites: Pitchup, Airbnb, Booking.com. Keep them. Their bookings land in your calendar, so dates are blocked everywhere.

Park-software prices are not published; check with them. HolidayFox figures from holidayfox.com/en/partners, reviewed 2026-09-13. Our own check of the home pages of 3,493 UK and Ireland Pitchup sites (13 Sep 2026) found 274 named booking systems: CampManager 80, GemaPark 41 (gemapark.co.uk only, not the old figure of 70), Freetobook 25, SuperControl 9. That is not market share.
When HolidayFox is enough
A large share of UK campsite websites are still a brochure with a Pitchup or 'email us' button, and no way to book on the site itself. Those parks need guests to book on the site they already found, including after the office closes. That's what HolidayFox does.
WordPress, any other website, or we build one

You can leave them, or keep them alongside if you still want their extras.
Pitchup does not have to go
Pitchup helps new guests find you. The guest you lose is the one who found your own website, asked a question nobody answered, and went back to Pitchup to pay. Keep Pitchup, Airbnb and Booking.com: their bookings land in your HolidayFox calendar, so nothing is double-booked.
Who should pick what in 2026
- HolidayFox: you want your calendar, a Book now button, an evening chat and your prices in Google's hotel search. Everything below is an extra; you don't need any of it to run your calendar.
- CampManager / GemaPark: you specifically need pitch maps, owners or housekeeping. Judge them on the reception chart, not on chat. Optional alongside HolidayFox.
- Freetobook: free-forever B&B and small-hotel calendar. Channel manager £1.50 a booking (min £9 / max £99). Their free booking engine can cost less than our commission.
- SuperControl: UK cottage and agency booking system. Joining fee + annual licence by property count; 1% + VAT on named listing sites. Their public calculator doesn't show a flat monthly price, so ask them.
- Little Hotelier: SiteMinder's small-hotel channel manager. UK calculator as shown 13 Sep 2026: Basics from £29/month + 1%; Pro from £85/month.
- Outdore: guests pick their pitch on a map, plus Outdore's own guest app. Published £1 a booking (16+ pitches) or from £31/month.
- Holray: per-unit annual park booking engine and a WordPress shortcode. From £170 + VAT per unit per year.
- Campsite Booking System: commission-free WordPress/WooCommerce at a published £25/month (10 pitches) on campsitebookingsystem.uk. Technophobia's TP Pitch Booking demo (same product name) lists from £499 / £999 and a conflicting £1,500 + £49/month card, so ask them.
- Newbook: enterprise reservations, tills (POS) and 100+ connections to other software (Storable). Quote-only.
- Pitched Booking: UK park booking grid, activity booking, Pitchup Direct on Pro. Lite £49 p/m / Pro £81 p/m as shown (scales with units).
- Booking Experts: European park system with planboard, owners and BEX CMS. Starter €295/month (20 objects), annual contract, no commission.
- Q-Book: £14.99 + VAT/month + 20p a pitch (50p caravan/glamping) + £99 enrolment; free Pitchup connection.
- PayCamp: from £49/month by unit count; invoicing, VAT, electricity. Their card-fee pages disagree (2.9% + £1 vs 2.9% + 30p).
- GlampManager: from £20/month + £2/unit (CampManager team).
- CampSuite: free up to 100 pitches; guest pays £1.50 online (or you pick it up). Not the same as Campsite Booking System.
- Bookster: Lite £26 / Pro £46 / Max £86 + VAT as shown at 3 properties, plus a channel-manager %.
- Smoobu: billed in EUR. Flex €29 + 0.9%, Prepaid €35, Teams €55 (1 unit as shown).
- EliteParks: Dynamics 365 park tools. From £300/month EliteCore (licence listed separately).
- Holidaymaker: branded guest app from £199/month + setup. Explorer doesn't connect to booking systems. You don't buy the app to run your calendar.
- In-Site: park software since 1984: Sage, site fees, owners, optional desktop software. Online bookings are an add-on. Quote-only.
- SmartPark: online park software: owners, fleet, alerts, website calendar. Quote by pitch mix.
- A general AI receptionist or Intercom: they answer common questions. They can't see which pitches are free or take the booking on your website.

Connect Pitchup (and Airbnb, Booking.com) to HolidayFox. Their bookings land in your calendar and your free dates go back to them, so nothing is double-booked. It usually takes about 30 minutes.
What does HolidayFox cost compared with park software?
It's free for the Book now button, or from £12.99/month for a website we build for you, plus 5% commission on bookings taken through HolidayFox. No joining fee. Card fees are separate: Stripe, the card-payment company, takes its standard fee (1.5% + 20p for UK cards). Park software is usually a quote-only subscription, so ask them for your pitch count.
